Maybe the guards recognize you and your car already so they let you in without checking your pass? I recognize some of the guards when I drive up and they recognize me too so I don't get stopped.

I was informed that the present surau will form part of the bigger mosque (as a function hall or extended prayer area) and not torn down. If you look at it from another point of view, some families in NI, HH, NS etc. may actually prefer to have a mosque in such a convenient and accessible location.

If I'm not mistaken P8D will be built on the area to the left of the empty plot of land beside the surau. Much closer to the lake. That large empty lot in the 1st picture is for the planned mosque. I recall there were already markings on the ground designating the 8D unit lots when I visited NI...

Our unit was locked already so we couldn't get in at all. I agree with you about the smaller family room. We're planning to extend it into the present balcony, open up one side of the study room and make the area outside the study a mini-balcony. Hopefully that will make the space bigger :)...
