He should have kept his mouth shut. Now we know Png talk without using brain first. WP should kick his ass for this Freudian slip.

We all choose a road in our lives. Robert Frost might have chosen the road less traveled, but it seems that the Worker's Party has chosen an interesting sort of road - a road paved with lies and deceit.
[his name was ON the ballot it was revealed later.]inSing.com, 21 May 2012
SINGAPORE: The Workers' Party's candidate for Hougang, Mr Png Eng Huat, said he had decided not to be considered for the Non-Constituency MP (NCMP) post after last year's General Election (GE).
In an exclusive interview with Channel NewsAsia on Monday,... Mr Png said: ".... Because I have a personal stand against the NCMP scheme, so that's why my name wasn't in the ballot. So I don't think DPM knows all of these."
Yes, if PAP really cares about the best person filling the respective positions, then they should dismantle all the GRCs.
Png should have retorted, if he really felt there was need to reply, that he was not the best candidate for Hougang. By the same token, TCH is also not the best candidate for Pasir Ris Ponggol GRC because the GRCs and many other hurdles put up by the PAP are there to ensure that the best candidates would never be there for the job.
Yes agreed. PAP looking for a weakness to exploit.....
WP should just ask PAP to revert all seats to SMC. Do away with the useless NMP and NCMP schemes. Fight cleanly. Tell PAP not to play dirty.
The issue is whether Png was telling the truth to the people of Hougang - not about GRC.
Shouldn't change the target after you missed it.
I wonder who is the bastard who leaked this....based on the above 4, I can only see one.
Why Png got one vote only? He voted for himself is it?

bro,.....me had grown up looking at the deeds of JBJ and CST. they are great men.
they can talk about last time singapore was a fishing village and we would stay so if not for the pap what..
Why would WP force someone to take NCMP by going through the voting? If sakali he win then he will have to lanlan take the post?
If sakali he wins, then the storyline will change - simple as that. In politics, there are many cocks and bulls out there!
Take it easy Bros..
Just wait for the rally later....

He lacks charisma and his performance during the rally was only average. Desmond Choo is more charismatic, the only thing is that most suspect (myself included) that he will not be able to do anything as long as he is constrained by the PAP Party Whip.

He is against a monthly allowance and the opportunity to speak up for Singaporeans in parliament? Even WP supporters have to shake their heads for this.
From my windows I see heavy rain with roaring thunder and fierce lightning - the time of the WP rally!
Like what Sylvia Lim ominouslyhad said in the first rally: The lightning has harassed WP in Hougang.
This time the lighning is for real.
