Jalan Kayu SMC battle to fend off ComSc

NCM tried to play the backsides of the NTUC members by selling Income and backstabbing them by concealing the details of the arrangements.

If the union members were intelligent, they'd not be in the fake union in the first place.

What is GG?

In Chinese and Singaporean online gaming culture, "GG" (short for "Good Game") has evolved into a sarcastic or satirical term to imply that someone is doomed, defeated, or about to fail miserably.

Origin & Meaning

  1. Original Meaning (Western Gaming Culture):
    • In Western esports and online games, "GG" is traditionally used as a sportsmanlike way to concede defeat ("Good Game") or acknowledge a fair match.
    • Players often type "GG" at the end of a match to show respect.
  2. Chinese & Singaporean Adaptation (Satirical/Sarcastic Twist):
    • In Chinese internet slang (especially in games like League of Legends, Dota 2, Honor of Kings, and PUBG), "GG" has taken on a darkly humorous or mocking tone.
    • When someone makes a terrible mistake (e.g., dying early, losing a key fight), teammates or opponents might spam "GG" to sarcastically declare:
      • "You're finished."
      • "This game is over (because of you)."
      • "RIP, no chance of recovery."
    • Example:
      • If a player gets killed in the first minute of a MOBA match, their teammates might type:
"GG, 6v4" (mocking that the match is now unwinnable).
  3. Extended Usage in Online Forums:
    • Beyond gaming, "GG" is used in Chinese social media (Weibo, Tieba, Douyin) and Singaporean forums (fuckwarezone, Reddit SG) to mock failures in real life.
      • E.g., If someone posts about failing an exam, a reply might be:
"GG lor, next life then try again." (Singaporean Singlish style)
      • In China, netizens might say:
        "GG,你没了" (GG, you're done for).

Variations & Related Memes

  • "GGWP" (Good Game, Well Played) – Sometimes used sincerely, but often sarcastically.
  • "EZ GG" – Mocking an opponent after an easy win.
  • "早GG,早超生" (Early GG, early rebirth) – A dark joke meaning "just give up now."

Why the Sarcastic Twist?

Chinese and Singaporean netizens enjoy exaggerated, dramatic humor, especially in competitive settings. By saying "GG" prematurely, they add a layer of trolling or fatalistic comedy to failures.

I believe no logical reasonable and patriotic government would sign an agreement such as CECA, because clearly no individual with a sound mind would sign it with a country of one billion people, when such as agreement allows free inflow of individuals. I may be unaware, but whatever the investment opportunities for Singapore, its positive effects are outweighed by the inflow of undesirable (and dare I say, many of those individuals with unproven academic credentials or professional qualifications).
Does the PAP not see all the problems and undesirable issues caused by the influx of Indian nationals, so far.
I would urge Singaporeans to consider and vote for more MPs from the opposition, and encourage them to push the government to give the required notice, to terminate CECA.
Funny how after iswaran has stepped down...no one talks about the CECA agreement anymore...
