Soho at the basement of then Boulevard Hotel
The time spent renovating the place was longer than it was in business. Opened for less than half a year. Funny how can the business failed the 2 could just rope in all their chiobu colleagues for the glam factor.
The place was in the news for corruption case involving its security manager Eugene Galistan who was famous headman of 24 Patt Leong. Eugene is husband of Angelique Nicolette Teo.
LNX always failed in his business.....his country club gig also failed big time

Ah yes, SOHO. As a teenager during his schooldays, Eugene was already a terror. If I remember correctly, he was involved in the Centrepoint stabbing incident where some bloke was killed. He got away with murder because of his age or something like that.

his fairy tale ended, the last chapter he supposedly evaded capture run road to jb in a secret car but the more glamour version was rowed a sampan across
Tia kong car belonged to Johor royalty n driven by one of TMJ’s bodyguard.

I was there. Just once. Both came over to say hello. I think it was his security chap who invited my friend over.
LNX also used to have another bar in Boat Quay. Named Tomorrow or Piano. That was a JV with James Poh aka king of Boat Quay.
Every night got big stakes gambling going on inside.

Was Eugene Gallistan working for them at Soho?

Not aware of BQ joint.

Man stands trial for allegedly getting bribes from TCS actor

-------------------------------------------------

A corruption trial, involving a pub owned by two well-known TCS actors, started on Wednesday in a subordinate court. Eugene Bernard Galistan,31, is standing trial for allegedly receiving $3,700 from TCS actor Terence Cao in November last year. The accused was then the General Manager of Sheehan Security, responsible for security matters for Soho 'Live' Disco and KTV Pub.

He had allegedly proposed to Cao to entertain police officers so that there would not be unnecessary raids, and said that police response would be immediate whenever trouble breaks out at Soho 'Life'. Terence Cao and another TCS actor Li Nanxing have been named as witnesses. Both are directors of a company which runs the pub. The trial continues on Thursday.

Ho Hoe Chuen, his accomplice, was also a notorious big time pai kia at that time. Both were from SJI.
Hoe Chuen wasn’t from SJI
He was serving NS at the time.
They were the only 2 to claim trial. The rest pleaded guilty. Ended up none saw jail time but all were remanded for close to a year.
Hoe Chuen was also from a different gang than the rest. Hoe Chuen was also the one that gave the fatal stomp to victim’s head.
The dead mat was a KC Dat mover who had SS background also. The aftermath of this case saw many run-ins and clashes

Perhaps not at the time of the offence, but Hoe Chuen was definitely from SJI. Dropped out halfway after Sec 2 and went to Pei Dao Sec. He was staying at Blk 51 Toa Payoh. My friend knows him very well. He was a pimp in early 2000.

I didn’t know his SJI connection there
Knew he AWOL from Guillemard Camp during NS and sent to DB

I remembered there was another ktv next door.
You must be one of the after hours crowd that came with the bands and crew of the other siamdius.
Geographer shifted to Clarke Quay where a murder happened and ICON shifted to a few locations. Wondered why sebai sebai never moved operations elsewhere.
Sebai sebai was notorious for fighting.
It was closed suddenly.
I suspect might have other reasons.

Heard he was a hard core big time gambler. Apparently a rich tai tai bailed him out from his gambling debts n he was kept by her for a period of time.
