as I am now reading his latest masterpiece, this esteemed author takes offence that people brand Sinkieland as another province of Chinyland.

He said, in his book, that it is dangerous to label ourselves so, because of the sensitivities of our m&d neighbours, wow...

The best selling author is known for labeling people as "daft" ironically.

To note that these are return leg fixtures. You can see that the home teams will be easily favorites but again the ball is round.

I like to bet in Twente's matches because they give me goals.

My only concern is whether Schalke will stop after a two goal lead.

Apparently blind faith did not pay out when your favorite club is out of form / under performed. Stop supporting them until they show signs of recovery. Even non Man U supporters will still bet on Man U to win in games when opportunities comes. I also lost on Man U last two games because i had underestimated their opponents and also Man U performance was below par.

so true, don't bet on matches involving your favorite club, you are always blinded by your faith in them.
I also lost some $$, betting on matches involving my hated club Man Utd. somehow always think that they had overpeformed, were vulnerable to upsets, will lose this match. so also be careful in matches involving teams you dislike.

Uefa cup is a 2nd grade cup. some clubs dont really bother and usually throw in reserved/young players.
if they go thru, they go thru, in fact they will focus on their league.

sometimes im thinking the effect on their next league match will have a slight impact on the results.
for e.g. Steaua has a derby away match while 04 against Augsburg.

am i thinking too much? LOL

Skill is a more decisive factor than motivation from what I've observed through the years.

Possible lineups:

Schalke: Unnerstall, Hoger, Papadopoulos, Matip, Fuchs, Jones, Holtby, Baumjohann, Raul, Jurado, Huntelaar

Steaua: Tatarusanu, Emeghara, Iliev, Geraldo, Latovlevici, Bourceanu, Brandan, Bicfalvi, Florin Costea, Mihai Costea, Rusescu

Ha! Not a single Steaua player that I heard of other than perhaps Emeghara.

sometimes whipping boys can cause the greatest upset.

Schalke will come back from their 2-0 loss to Dortmund and has more than enough talents even with their captain Howedes and Farfan out till January. Augsburg can upset the weaker teams for all i care.

Steaua's away from for the past eight matches in all competitions read: 1 win, 3 draws, 4 losses  Add to the fact that they have a derby match on Tuesday, I think Schalke is a really good bet. Probably a 2-0 home victory.

The best three managers I've seen conjuring and winning World Cup out of almost nothing were Sir Alf Ramsey (England 1966), Cesar Luis Menotti (Argentina 1978) and Enzo Bearzot (Italy 1982). They had no real top superstar players to begin with. They made their players real top superstars.
