This is an opening of olympic not MTV music award, so care about british music? It is a stupid idea to put that in an olympic.
All rojak, they cannot even keep a line, when dancing, all in different pose, not synchronise at all.
Mr bean is great for the oscars, but this is not the oscars, this is the olympic.

You might enjoy watching it, that does not mean it is not the worse olympic opening ever.

Certainly better than Atlanta and Greece but not Barcelona. Agree that not as good as Sydney and Beijing. Barcelona took the biggest risk of any Olympics and lit the flame with a flaming arrow - powerful climax. Nobody expected it. If that arrow had its flame extinguished or the cauldron did not ignite, it would be have an embarrassment.

I was disappointed with the British and the Danny because it rambled on, monotonous etc. The way Tim Berner-lee was introduced was like a cheap cameo. The British are known for their creativity, design and their boldness to try something new. It was not entertainment but a documentary about the British history.

I am sure that eventually people will be become more open and forthright how they screwed up.

Give you another example. The Sports men and women are the stars yet when each country's contingent came out, the angle and coverage was really poor. It is a disgrace. Danny wanted it dark for his lights and therefore due to the summer, darkness came in at 9pm when they started. They had to rush thru so the contingent segment was pushed thru.

In summary, from a spectacle point of view, better than Barcelona, Atlanta and Greece but not Sydney or Beijing.
Let's hope the actual sport we see can better this achievement.

The london cauldron is retard, the idea is retard, why?
People want to go to olympic park to take picture of themselves and the olympic flame, now only some people who were inside the stadium can see it. Cauldron must be outside, or on top of stadium, so people can enjoy the 16 days of sport.

FYI, the Barcelona "arrow" actually missed the target on that fateful day and the cauldron was lighted by "contingency flame" engineered to avoid the said embarrassment. You may wish to check it out.
