If Sporeans don't support dissenters like Chee, how can they expect change from the elitist famileeLet face it there will never be perfect candidates. There will always be something to nitpick: their education, their dress, their looks,. their sex,.....

Well, I am not surprise. I believe some people doesnt understand. Dr Chee believes in what true democracy and human rights is all about and not half-baked democracy some tyrant wants people to believe in. Human rights are basic rights all humans are entitled. It's not privileges given by some tyrants and to be taken away as and when they feel like it. The sad fact is many sporeans doesnt know what good these rights are to them or can do for them and they dont care.
Until they do, unfortunately not anytime soon, what Dr Chee is doing will always be deem as unnecessary, even foolish and crazy to some. Baptism of fire is not for the faint hearted. I will always respect him for challeging the system, taking on authoritarians head on regardless of outcome. The american system may not be perfect but they are still the leader on liberty and freedom. A good platform for international attention.:p

Its the ineffectiveness of Chee in getting rid of the tyrannical and despostic old man and the PAP. He performed the worst amongst all opposition candidates except for some total unknowns in his last election foray. I can understand why he chose to disqualify himself. But he needs to change the tactics if it does not work.
Its seems he relished going to the US and speaking to people that the general public have no clue about.
If Chee was a sale director of a company, he would have been terminated after 20 years of travelling with nothing to show for it.
Once again, everyone agrees with what Chee is seeking - thats common sense. Its his method. Understand now.
