Workers’ Party (WP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Sengkang GRC, Jamus Lim, has received much criticism from several members of the ruling party in recent weeks.
One netizen was quick to spot this and shared a series of screenshots of the Facebook posts made by the People’s Action Party’s (PAP) members on fuckwarezone on Wednesday (14 Oct).
Among the screenshots was Ng Chee Meng’s Facebook post which was published on Monday (12 Oct).
Mr Ng shared photos of him with some residents of Sengkang GRC and wrote, “Wonder when the promised new eateries and amenities will come up besides the ones we already planned.”
To recap, Dr Lim had earlier on (7 July) said in a constituency political broadcast that he aims to push for more spaces for neighbourhood shops should they be elected to Parliament.

His team, which includes He Ting Ru, Raeesah Khan and Louis Chua, eventually bested the PAP’s Ng Chee Meng, Lam Pin Min, Amrin Amin and Raymond Lye in the general election.
But after the team’s winning, the management of a lawsuit commenced by the Pasir Ris-Punggol Town Council (PRPTC) was handed over to the Sengkang Town Council (SKTC) due to the former Punggol East SMC has become a part of Sengkang GRC.
The lawsuit was initiated by PRPTC against WP chairman Sylvia Lim, former party chief Low Thia Khiang and six other defendants in the High Court. It came after the WP-run Aljunied-Hougang Town Council (AHTC) had taken the same defendants to court.
The Sengkang GRC team updated on 8 October that it is now at the final stage of the SKTC’s handover to WP.
Referring to this, the netizen said that he believes Dr Lim’s team will fulfil their promises to Sengkang GRC residents “as soon as they establish their TC [Town Council]”.
“Give WP more time lah… they haven’t finish completing the TC [Town Council] handover within these 90 days yet this NCM [Ng Chee Meng] started to verbal pressure them,” said the netizen.

Meanwhile, the second screenshot was about Raymond Lye’s Facebook post which was published in July.
“First, we have Victor Lye politicked. Now, we have another Raymond Lye trying to stir shiat based on other non-local’s economists views and even teach WP what should to do when they setup their Sengkang GRC,” the netizen wrote.
In the Facebook post, Mr Lye cited the senior lecturer at Singapore Management University (SMU) Wu ZhengXiao’s open letter on 17 July, who suggested Dr Lim to apply WP’s proposed Redundancy Insurance Scheme in Sengkang GRC.
“He’ll like to see if WP walks the talk in their manifesto, now that they can put their policy recommendations to work when they form their own SK town council,” said Mr Lye.

The third screenshot was Amrin Amin’s Facebook post on 7 October.
Dr Lim had earlier on (6 Oct) suggested imposing a “per-flight environmental tax” pertained to Singapore Airlines’ (SIA) earlier proposal to operate flights to nowhere.
He also highlighted that it is “entirely possible” that the tax will not have an immediate concern on the economic viability if SIA is able to pass on the cost to consumers.
However, the Transport Minister Ong Ye Kung stressed that “this is really not the time to talk about an environmental tax on SIA” because the airline is in a dire situation due to the pandemic.
Following that, Mr Amrin said on Facebook that Dr Lim’s suggestion to impose an environment tax on an ailing national carrier contains “serious disconnect” as SIA had scrapped the idea of flights to nowhere before.
He wrote, “If a PAP MP had suggested this, many colourful adjectives will be coughed out. But I suppose we can be charitable and just call the less than compassionate suggestion – noise pollution?”

Meanwhile, one netizen commented on the fuckwarezone thread, saying that the PAP is using “all they can to undermine” the WP.

While others questioned the PAP members’ contribution to Sengkang GRC when it was helmed by the ruling party.https://i2.wp.com/www.onlinecitizenasia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/FireShot-Capture-993-GPGT-Why-PAP-Sengkang-GRCs-Team-is-so-salty___-Page-2-www.hard_-forums.fuckwarezone.com_.sg_.png?ssl=1https://i1.wp.com/www.onlinecitizenasia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/FireShot-Capture-998-GPGT-Why-PAP-Sengkang-GRCs-Team-is-so-salty___-Page-4-www.hard_-forums.fuckwarezone.com_.sg_.png?ssl=1https://i1.wp.com/www.onlinecitizenasia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/FireShot-Capture-1001-GPGT-Why-PAP-Sengkang-GRCs-Team-is-so-salty___-www.hardwarezone_-forums.fuckwarezone.com_.sg_.png?ssl=1https://i2.wp.com/www.onlinecitizenasia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/FireShot-Capture-1004-GPGT-Why-PAP-Sengkang-GRCs-Team-is-so-salty___-Page-2-www.har_-forums.fuckwarezone.com_.sg_.png?ssl=1https://i2.wp.com/www.onlinecitizenasia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/FireShot-Capture-1007-GPGT-Why-PAP-Sengkang-GRCs-Team-is-so-salty___-Page-2-www.har_-forums.fuckwarezone.com_.sg_.png?ssl=1https://i0.wp.com/www.onlinecitizenasia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/FireShot-Capture-1010-GPGT-Why-PAP-Sengkang-GRCs-Team-is-so-salty___-Page-3-www.har_-forums.fuckwarezone.com_.sg_.png?ssl=1
