Even a madman can have a vision. I want a FREE xxxx (fill in whatever country name you want) is applicable to all.

Neither do I want him as PM . But with the present leadership down, and all hurdles removed, there'll be capable men and women around to fill the shoes.

There may be, but Singaporeans are only concern about utility maximisation. Chee should hand over the party to a credible person and be a private activist

chiam is a gracious person who keeps the bigger objective in mind. chee on the other hand only has vengeance against the familee as his main agenda. the "bigger" picture doesn't seem to be in his mind.

When Chiam failed to convince the CEC to censure Chee, he threatened to resign as Secretary General of SDP. He probably over-rated himself and didn't even know that his CEC had been damned piss off with him for the way he treated them. In the end, Chiam resigned and stayed on as an ordinary member when the CEC rejected his resolution.

But Chiam pettiness was in full display after he won Potong Pasir under SPP. Instead of performing his role as an opposition MP checking on the govt, he criticised his formal colleagues whenever he could find the opportunities and became a willing political tool of the PAP to be used against SDP. This is personal vendetta at its best fully demonstrated by Chiam, for those who still don't quite understand the meaning.

Chee, on the other hand, has concentrated on the big picture by attempting to bring reform to the system created by LKY, which is engineered to keep PAP in perpetual power. In doing so, Chee became one of several victims of LKY's sledge hammer, relentlessly pounded and crushed.

LKY has always been personal in his attacks against his political opponents, especially those who are highly capable, using outright lies, half-truths and a sycophantic media to manipulate public perceptions and opinions against those he deems to be a threat.

What Chee has been doing is to lay down the facts and truths for Singaporeans to know and make the final judgements themselves.

Chee has no vision for Singapore. No plan, no path laid out. Resign and be a private activist!!!

chao ah kwa you think people are all born yesterday ar.

chiam is a gracious person who keeps the bigger objective in mind who dunno!

his biggest objective is to make sure your PAP scums will not be kicked out ... LOL

now you know .... fuck!

Can the "elevation" of the status of Hong Lim Park from "Speakers' Corner" to "Protest Corner" be attributed to Dr. Chee?

Well, if you compare it to "What has Anwar Ibrahim achieved" of course there is a big difference.

Compare:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anwar_Ibrahim and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chee_Soon_Juan

I would think that as an opponent Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and Lee Hsien Loong are politicians of the same calibre.

Chee Soon Juan's faults would be the lack of focus and overall strategy of attack. Today he might be championing one obscure cause, then switch over to some relic of history. If he would only concentrate on issues which truly concern us, like foreign talent influx, national service, standard of living etc.

Unfortunately, the two opponents are stuck in their respective ivory towers...

Now Tang Liang Hong is one person I'd admire in terms of his ability to make PAP afraid...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tang_Liang_Hong (summary)
http://www.tangtalk.com/index-eng.htm

Perhaps if he didn't run away... he would be extremely troublesome to PAP. Right now he's keeping an extremely low profile.

Now if there was some method of combining the stubbornness of Chee and the wit of Tang... maybe there would be some chance...

Never trust Wikipedia.

Badawi just doesn't have the aggressiveness of Mahathir.

Anwar--self serving politician. He appeals to one crowd this time, another the next. If not, why is he forming a coalition

Chee- a nobody.

PAP bastards will use all means to curtail and censor the media from revealing their filth and telling peasants the truth.

thanks to the internet you PAP dogs can bark all you want and you can't prevent the peasants from knowing the truth.

There may be, but Singaporeans are only concern about utility maximisation.

Again speak for yourself. As a Singaporean, I'm opposed to the fascist PAP and so are the 18 illegally charged in LKY's kangaroo court for a peaceful protest in front of the parliament.

That will be part 2 of Chee's political career. Part 1 is to reform the system first.

What's to be done now is to remove the corrupt, nepotistic and crony Lee mafia regime.

Next comes the programmes and planning after knowing the true status of our coffers, the CPF savings, Temasek and GIC investments, the position of our reserves and assets that even our former president Ong was unable to lay his hands on, on behalf of the citizenry.

With the fall of the PAP, would we be expecting to distribute the riches among the poor in Singapore?

A re-look at how much budget surplus we really need, and how much can CPF can be returned to the masses will be a good start.

First, how much is there in our reserves and assets that are being treated by the Lee family mafia like their private piggy-bank??

This is like how clean and holy was the former president Ong when he questioned about our reserves and assets.

SDP bickers too much but can't prove how much better they can be. If the leadership falls, Chee must not be PM.

PAP will still be the ruling party long after the last pin has been nailed onto your coffin ...
