The danger is that we all blame Satan for the evilness of the society and this in fact, has 'gloried' Satan. Though he originated the first sin by telling the first lie to Eve in the Garden of Eden, many of the evils created by humans are just unimaginable. I think Satan must be also quite pluzzled with all these evilness that how come man can create such evils. In the Bible, we are told that Satan is the Father of All Lies. That is his expertise. But in the Bible we are told more of sinful things done by human than Satan has done. Literally, human sins from head to toe.
We thank Jesus for giving us a living hope, and all these evilness of man and of Satan will come to an eventual end when the true Age of His Church is born, when Jesus takes over the reign and rule the New Earth and the New Heaven as Kings of King and Lords and of Lords1
Psalm23
Lying is the nature of Satan. But lying is the nature of Man too. It started with Eve who lied to Adam. Then Adam lied to God. Abram and Jacob were great liars.
If you recall the story of David's adultery. David is loved by God and lived constantly in His Presence with his plentiful psalms and communions with God.
Satan has never been recorded to approach David - to tempt him to sin. The Bible did not blame Satan for David's sins.
David himself chose to commit adultery with the wife of one of his most dedicated warriors - people who were willing to lay their lives down for him.
Then when the plan to make Uriah take ownership of the bastard son failed, David planned to murder him by keeping his own hands clean - righteous behaviour - it's not murder what!
Again Satan is not involved.
The prophet Nathan told David off.
God killed David's son. David went on a fast - not in repentance but in the hope that he can change God's mind and thus spare his son.
In one of the psalms, David said, "Against you and you only have I sinned." If this psalm was written after the murder of Uriah, then David did not acknowledge his sin of adultery and murder against Uriah.
Where is Satan in all these? Satan was not involved. It is the result of David's own doing.
If a man who kept so close to God can sin so drastically, what about lesser men?
