Thanks for your efforts, Mdm(?) CoffeeAhSoh.
In the end, who said what will always be a matter of contention.
Based upon our revered Founding father of our nation, whom brought together a great team to give us our todays, he had NEVER wanted to immortalized in the cheap means of statues or memorials. It was his WORDS that give meaning to his legacy.
For example, a rich HK billionaire wanted to fund & build a school in Singapore. Our Founding father demured but in the end a donation of $100M by the richest man in Asia - Mr Li Kah Shing is not something to brushed aside, more so WHEN such funds which are regularly audited, were meant for aspiring & talent students, & that's how the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy came about....
As our Founding Father the late Mr Lee Kuan Yew & his beloved wife, are at the basic core Lawyers, let alone a Leader whom had to write or sign memos & files to get instructions delegated upon, - WHY DID HE NOT WRITE SUCH A MEMO FOR HIS HOME TO BE DEMOLISHED UPON HIS PASSING????
We citizens will never know what exactly transpired & thus it is a family issue, which is a private matter, beyond the daily concerns of citizens lives with MORE concern over bread & butter issues, to put such upon the tables of loved ones...
Regardless if the home of our Founder is to be demolish or not, it will be his WORDS & EXPERIENCIES in his lifetime that will forever be enshrined WITHIN OUR HEARTS, a path of courage & virtues UNCOMMON during his time that will lead us to our progress & evolution, & not based upon any material structure that will never last the ravages of time, or by others whom attempt to drag us into a private family feud made public, for whatever known or unknown purposes...
The insignificant nobody me humbly apologize here & now to anyone whom may had been offended by my post...
