Welcome back! And Happy New Year!
Hope you had a good time with your mum. Could not get my mum to come to LOS as she needs her daily Mahjong exercise. Only exception is Genting and cruise ships. :*:

Hi chonburifc, you back? Next time get your mom for a few days only la. Just makan and shopping. My mom bought quite a few baju from Central.

here's a bunch of women being whacked up. Are they speaking thai? I see many filippino sites talking about them

I did not "penalise" them. I TAXED them a small percentage of their points in order to help the minorities and the downtrodden in this forum.

When you take off 10 points from three forummers who have only around 60 points each and give a 100 points to someone who already has a few hundred points, I don't know how much of Robin Hood spirit there is. It is more like robbing the poor to feed the rich. Sounds familiar isn't it? Sam, you really learn well from your masters.

The bad thing here is to equate points with cash. No one here earns a steady income nor getting points for good posts. There is simply no correlation whatsoever between the two.

If Sam can set up a good point system that justifiably rewards a member, then I have no quarrel with that. Moreover, not all members are here to discuss politics, only a small number.

Jah, definitely not Thai, sounds a little like Viet but I don't think so. These cowards are really sick to hurt these helpless women.

Thai men generally don't beat up women. They just walk away. The worst women beaters I think Jah knows very well which race.

Good morning to all. Thanks alot bro Joe. New things to learn everday... :)

Sawasdee Krup everybody. The recent flood caused many damages not only to properties but also vehicles. Not that vehicles got wet as all of us got time to park our vehicles on higher ground rather damages from potholes and also license plates got thorn away by the force of water when vehicles moves on floods over the level of the plates. Of course there are some idiots who took the risk to plunge themselves into water thinking its not deep.

I went over a pothole very hard one day over some water and it damaged one of my 18" wheels on my Camry Hybrid. It was a front wheel and so caused driving uncomfortable as the steering wheel shakes. Because they are nice wheels and not cheap I asked a tire shop Cockpit if they could repair. They told me yes and use some "computer" machine to check and then repair. I decided to let them do it and also for the other wheels as they were scratched over the two years I had this car. Cost 1,000baht per wheel including spray paint and all.

Nice job.

As the rubber (Michelin Pilot Sport 3 225/45-18) had done 45,000km but its still good I decided to reward myself this New Year with new rubber too. I have no complain with this tires as far as handling is concern dry or wet (every morning when I'm in Thailand I do 140-160km/h to office and on curves 120km/h no problem), trouble with performance tires is noise, this is a trade off. This time my criteria is comfort but balanced with good handling on wet & dry surfaces so I went for the Michelin Primacy LS 225/45-18 which is made in Japan as most higher end Michelin tires 18" and above are made in Japan.

The repair took 7 days and on 29th Dec I took the wheels back with new tires, did an alignment too. Have to say I am impressed with the performance of the tires. Quiet sure, handling wise I have not felt any difference. Last night it rained heavily (after about a month of no rain I think) and took the car out, no problem. I believe now that Camry is more suitable for having comfortable tires especially for a Hybrid which can be very quiet for the ride. However this tires will not do for sportier and more powerful cars like a Lexus GS for example as more power goes to the wheels and the tires got to work harder.

This is it I am a happy driver now on Thai roads.

Yeap. Just came back yesterday. Been having stout like there's no tomorrow while in SG. Finished the 3 duty free cans last night. :D

A little to difficult to convince my mum to come LOS unless I also invite her friends along.

Thought heard the man speaking Cantonese? Cannot hear clearly what the women are speaking. Seems that they were caught for escaping? At some parts of the clip, can also see 2 men squatting at the far right.

actually Im planing to go mae hong son, PAI, the other time in july, but flooded. I love the nature too.
Think it's a good time to go now. The weather is good and the scenery is awesome as some of the plants bloom during this time.

Wow good choice, north. If you don't want too much trouble then Khao Yai is a good choice as its so close to Bangkok. Actually I mean to tell you if you go Khao Yai from Bangkok you could stop by here and have a drink with me and I will take you to the very good Isaan restaurant or maybe mu maid can cook for you. ;)

Sorry repeat post

I cannot accept mom's friends come along simply because you will not be able to spend quality time with her maichai kheeniao na.

Yes it sounded a little like Cantonese but not which is why I think its Viet.

Michelin no regrets. BTW, are you using Nitrogen for your tires? There's a promotion at B-Kwik for Nitrogen filling. Any experience with Nitrogen?
