I came across this “basket”. Not a common sighting in Singapore yet. Do you know what this is?

This is the “target” (basket) for disc golf. It is a flying disc sport using rules quite similar to golf. Maybe I should try it someday.

Just attended the 11th Malaysia-Singapore Leaders' Retreat in Kuala Lumpur.
We signed a total of six MOUs on social welfare and community development, sustainability, urban development, national security, and education, reflecting the warm and multi-faceted relationship that both our countries share.
On the education front, Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir, Malaysia's Minister of Higher Education and I signed an MOU to further strengthen our countries' collaboration in higher education. Through this MOU, we hope to see more exchanges in knowledge and experiences between our Institutes of Higher Learning, both staff and students.
2025 marks the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between both countries. As we strengthen our people-to-people linkages, we will build mutual understanding and prepare our youths to engage with the region.

For over 70 years, the Singapore Buddhist Lodge has been a beacon of hope and generosity. While founded to share Buddhist teachings and spread kindness and charity, its strong social programmes have benefited less privileged Singaporeans of all backgrounds and faiths. These efforts complement the Government's initiatives to strengthen our social safety net and build a more resilient, caring society.
Today, I joined their 77th annual Hongbao Distribution Ceremony and the opening of the Donor's Plaque Pavilion. It's heartening to see the Foundation's legacy of kindness continue.
A big thank you to the Singapore Buddhist Lodge Welfare Foundation and partners like Jamiyah Singapore, Taoist Federation (Singapore) and Hindu Endownment Board for your tireless efforts to foster a more resilient and compassionate Singapore.
让我们不分种族,不分宗教、 大家团结一致照顾我们的弱势全体,把我们最好的献给下一代,创造更美好的新加坡。
