Happy to present the ‘Ready for School’ kits to some of our young residents in My Buona Vista.

With support from Central Singapore Community Development Council - CDC, this kit complements our local community initiatives to help them purchase school necessities for the new academic year. We hope our young ones will thus be better equipped for school and fully focused on their studies.

Wishing them well for the year ahead!

Keechiu glad to know that sibling walk-in vaccinations went smoothly.

Very glad to know that the new arrangement for sibling walk-in vaccinations went smoothly yesterday. We had 770 children who took advantage of this on the first day of its implementation. I hope that this provides parents with greater convenience, and also helps our children to get vaccinated early!
Mrs Catherine Ang was one of the parents who welcomed this arrangement, as it allowed her to vaccinate her two children Sophie, aged 8, and Jasper, aged 6, together without making multiple bookings or trips to the Vaccination Centres (VCs). They even met one of Jasper’s preschool friends, Jasmine, at the VC, and the two children adorably compared their plasters

Together with her husband, Mdm Nur Hazwani brought her 2 children, Aleesya and Rifqy, to the VC using the sibling walk in arrangement, which allowed the children to get vaccinated together, saving the family time.

Our 2021 GCE O-level students have achieved largely similar results as their peers in previous years despite the challenges of #COVID19. They have indeed shown their resilience as a cohort.
Today, they are reaping the fruits of their labour, as they collect their results and mark an important educational milestone. Well done to all!
To our students embarking on the next phase of their educational journey, I encourage you to explore your options with an open mind. Take time to evaluate your strengths and passions, as these will guide you as you navigate your choices. Our schools are always ready to support and guide you throughout this process and Ministry of Education, Singapore’s Education and Career Guidance Centre is also available to provide advice online or over the phone.

Keechiu is proud that polytechnic graduates are doing well.

More than 9 in 10 polytechnic graduates found jobs within 6 months of graduation – based on the 2021 polytechnic Graduate Employment Survey. Proud that many of our students are doing very well.
Daniel, a Singapore Polytechnic graduate with a Diploma in Infocomm Security Management, is passionate about cybersecurity. He once deliberately infected computers in his home with malware so that he could study them! He learned more about offensive-inspired cyber defence during his internship with Singapore-based cybersecurity firm Group8 Cyber and is now a full-time Cyber Security Engineer with the company. He also has plans to further his studies to break new frontiers in the field.
Temasek Polytechnic graduate Suwaathi believes that food is the body’s first line of defence. She is currently an F&B Coordinator and Dietetic Technician at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, and credits her Diploma in Applied Food & Nutrition Science at TP for building her diverse abilities to design and evaluate meals for different population groups and patients. Suwaathi plans to pursue a degree to deepen her knowledge and aims to improve community health by tackling local food trends such as obesity and superfoods.
There is opportunity in adversity, and our youth continue to show us that passion, resilience and adaptability can help us achieve great things even amidst #COVID19 challenges in recent years. I wish you all the best in your career and learning pursuits, and look forward to you scaling new heights in the future.
