First Saturday of the new year. Busy morning as usual at bustling Holland Drive Market and Food Centre. Happy to catch up with My Buona Vista residents.
Chanced upon H.E. Suryo Pratomo, Indonesia’s Ambassador to Singapore as well. Pak Tommy and his

group of Singaporean and Indonesian friends were taking a well-deserved local

break at the food centre after a long ride.

Keechiu wishes the Tan Kah Kee Foundation all the best.

Chan Chun Sing

2 d ·
The Tan Kah Kee Foundation marks its 40th anniversary this evening, celebrating decades of service to the community.
Mr Tan Kah Kee was a businessman and community leader. He was successful in many areas, but was perhaps better known for his philanthropic work, especially in the area of education.
Mr Tan exemplified the definition of success - that it is not about how well we do for ourselves, but leaving behind a brighter future for generations to come. That we are defined not by our achievements, but contributions. And the more successful we are, the more we should extend a hand to those who need help.
I am confident the Tan Kah Kee Foundation will continue to live up to his spirit of public service. Congratulations and my best wishes to them for more good years!

Keechiu wants children to shine their brightest.

Every Singaporean should be able to access an education pathway that can bring out their fullest potential.
The Government and our Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) have a range of financial assistance schemes in place to support our higher needs students in their educational journey.
There are communities among us who have also stepped up in their own way. I thank the Chettiars’ Temple Society for 10 years of supporting promising students through scholarships and bursaries.
Indeed, as the adage goes - it takes a village to raise a child. Let’s continue to work together and provide our children the opportunities to shine their brightest

Keechiu wishes adult learners drive and passion.

Digital workplace learning is a key enabler for adult workers who are looking to reskill and upskill.
Congratulations Institute for Adult Learning Singapore on the 2 new MOUs with Microsoft and Singapore National Eye Centre / Singapore Eye Research Institute!
Besides having digital learning courses, IAL will conduct joint research with these partners to design and develop learning materials best suited for adult learners.
Following a joint review with SkillsFuture SG the IAL will also be rolling out the Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) Advanced Certificate Learning and Performance (ACLP) 2.0, which will shorten the time learners take to complete the course to 3 months from the current 6 to 9 months!
As we progress into the new year, I wish our adult learners drive and passion as you embark on your #lifelonglearning journey!

Keechiu congratulates O level students. :notworthy:

Our GCE O-Level students received their results today - congratulations!
Take pride in how you have persevered and put in the hard work to reach this milestone. You are more than your grades and every one of you has the potential to succeed in your own unique ways.
I remember collecting my O-Level results decades ago, and wondering about my next step. What helped was interacting with people from different backgrounds and fields of study to hear about their experiences. Do think about your strengths and interests, as you prepare for the next chapter of your educational journey.
Our schools are always ready to guide you, and Ministry of Education, Singapore Education and Career Guidance Centre can provide additional support as you navigate your options.
(Make an appointment here: moeecg.appointeze.com/onlinelink/MOEECGCentre)
As you celebrate your achievements, do also take time to appreciate your loved ones and teachers who have stood by you all this while.
Wishing you the very best!
