Day and night. Rain or shine. All year round. Our dedicated public transport workers serve tirelessly to keep public transport running and us moving.

2 years ago, I joined Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre 新加坡华族文化中心 and 新加坡宗乡会馆联合总会 Singapore Federation of Chinese Clan Associations for their annual Spring Festival celebration. It was held virtually due to the pandemic, which had imposed many challenges on our people.
Pleased to be part of the festivities on 初三 this year. It was good to see everyone in person, and celebrate the Lunar New Year 兔gether

I imagine that it would be similar for many Singaporeans, whose families are rejoicing in gathering in big groups again.
Wishing everyone a joyous time of gathering with family, and catching up with loved ones

Of course minister and all people should thank all transport workers working during CNY.

Come May, promising Institute of Technical Education (ITE) students will be able to apply for a new scholarship launched to support the next step in their education and training journey.
Awarded by the Tan Kah Kee Foundation, 10 scholarships worth $6,000 each will be given out each year. The scholarship will be open for applications every May from 2023.
Applicants are not limited to only academic courses, such as diplomas or university degrees, for their further studies.

Instead, the merit-based scholarship is also open to those who wish to pursue any structured vocational training or apprenticeship programme as well.
Wow $6000 scholarship for ITE graduates to go polytechnic or university or whatever. That’s a lot. Very good. Bond free some more.

Filming a dance crew takes some skills.
Throwback to the time when I picked up some basics from Ms Mary Chin and Natalie from SP Media, Arts & Design School.
Cindy & Run Sheng from Strictly Dance Zone sportingly did several rounds of the dance while I worked on framing and other techniques

Well done Singapore Polytechnic!

Regular patrons of Tanglin Halt Market & Food Centre will be familiar with the long queue at Tanglin Halt Original Peanut Pan Cake.
Uncle Deng spends an average of five minutes to make the pancake and he has been doing this for 50 years!

Chan Chun Sing is in Gardens By the Bay, Singapore.

In Chinese culture, the seventh day of the lunar new year (初七) is known as Renri (人日), which is believed to be the day humans were created, and hence it is known as the common birthday of humankind.
On this day, I joined the celebrations at #RiverHongbao2023. The rainy weather didn’t dampen the festive spirit at Gardens by the Bay!
The lantern exhibits reflect social trends as well as culture, traditions, and values. This is a creative and engaging way to preserve our culture and traditions, and pass them down to the next generation.
Enjoyed meeting the River Hongbao Hackathon 2023 winners from Temasek Polytechnic, Singapore Polytechnic, and Yale-NUS College. These creative youth entrepreneurs came up with very interesting green products — including upcycling excess food into pet treats and making sling bags from recycled clothes

Students from Ngee Ann Polytechnic shared the colourful history of Lunar New Year greeting cards dating back to the 1950s.
Joined Zoe Tay, Elvin Ng and other Mediacorp artistes backstage as they prepared to put up a spectacular show for the sporting audience who braved the rain for the event.
Here’s wishing everyone a 兔-rrific year ahead!
