ode to the seaman's son...

In the old days of yaw
Was one captain of Singapore
Twas he who sailed bravely through uncharted seas
And brought his ship and men to this harbour of peace

But alas and the truth be told
His pride and joy sad to behold
Has set forth on another fruitful but dangerous journey
That eventually will bring an end to this success story

Has set forth on another fruitful but dangerous journey

Insidious was the seed of his heart,
Deception, lies, half truths was his art,
One dreadful night One hundred Ten and One stout hearts lock, stock and barrel,
Henceforth dissent and opposition once again cease to unravel

Re: ode to the seaman\'s son...

on board the ship somewhere in the rear

just for once, the kapitan did a quick count
as he felt the tension on deck began to mount
more than half his crew were eying at the fount
thought it was special but it came at a discount

Re: ode to the seaman\'s son...

Come the day of the old seaman's demise
Would anyone be prepared to cry
For someone who has long been a sinking ship's pride
Could he live forever in the sinkies' mind

Re: ode to the seaman\'s son...

hickory, dickory, dock
the kapitan is a crock
takes our money around the clock
does nothing but talk cock

to be or not to be
i'm not really free
but from my sentences you can see
that i'm writing gibberish but making the last words rhyme thee
shit i'm no good at this like a fly acting like a bee.

seaman's son refuses to face the possibility
that many on board are still burdened with poverty
his diabolical crew panders to his depravity
deleted facebook photos of old folks' stark reality

down in kapitan's cabin, he was having a brew
with his good ole buddy, a member of the crew
most people couldn't recall the plans that he drew
but they recalled his comment about women's hairdo

among the crew was a chap who looked far
but kapitan didn't seem to deem him quite on par
perhaps bustin' the budget may have left a scar
no choice but to continue hentah kaki cepat hentah

a lone pirate woke the crew, a well known has-been
he wanted to board the ship, but kapitan wasn't keen
huge ego, petty and jealous, and far from being lean
the dog in the manger, u should know who i mean

the pirates are coming from way out yonder
all of them crawling out from davy jones's locker
they smell the rum and the succulent red lobster
which the kapitan is offering like a regular mobster
"an offer ye can't refuse", says the godfather
and blows away the opposition with his legal revolver
the kapitan invites the pirates, a trick up his sleeve
for even if they check out, they can never leave
their gold is tied up in his wife's coffers
their sons have to be trained as jungle walkers
and one day, the pirates dream, they'll find their gold
but that day will never come, even if they get old

down below the deck in one of the cabin
some of the crew were found to be sleeping
haven't had a clue on what they've been doing
alas the kapitan thought that they are worth keeping

wondering what on earth had the kapitan been thinking
looking at all sorts of nonsense upon this ship they're facing
the more pertinent point would probably be capacity loading
the kapitan didn't realise that too many would result in sinking

vesak, being a day of peace
hope the kapitan is at ease
to put some thought about the health
of his passengers, and their wealth
sadly, recent events show a lack
of any change of kapitan's tack
of steering the ship through high seas
and bringing it safely back, in a breeze
oh, kapitan, my kapitan,
art thou really a macho man
admit to us if you can
or, are you just sailing without a plan

down in the galley they were setting the grill
to cook the crews' supper, a fine cut of veal
no one cooked well, so kapitan made them a deal
next time they will get that ps to cook a french meal

the meal wasn't great, the crew were being picky
kapitan told them all not to be so fussy
if veal isn't good enough, what should it be
don't tell me u also expect air flown sashimi

sometime after the ship left the dock
kapitan complained the crew had one too many a jock
he told the mateys they needed females solid as a rock
and do make sure that they were of better stock

the kapitan set sailing around the seven seas
this very feat requires more than competency
foresight is needed and with guts and gumption
else the crew could go down without redemption

Sitting by the dock of the Bay
I saw bro Joetys bringing a tray
It's filled with crab and lobster
Joetys said eat, don't worry after

Joetys maid's mature and sweet
The kinda any man would like to eat
But she's armed with a Glock .22
I worry what if she misfires too

someone shouted: kapitan! there lies an old dock!
he looked through his lenses and froze into a block
for the folks of this old dock were of better stock
kapitan knew better so just sent a blur cock
