My struggle as a degree holder. I teared in the doctor’s office...

I remember life science is a hot course during my time....

There you go. The author himself noted that the pinoys are more hard working than the locals. Enuf said.

Tat is why it is important to be your own boss, no matter how small the business is. And remember to have multiple sources of income.

The PAP killed entrepreneurship with its rules ...no hawking, no busking, no this and no that ...and made starting a small business into a few thousand dollars venture.

Any chance that you could write, instead of shouting? Peppercrab, where is your moderation?

Foreigners are here to slaved, not work. If you want sinkees to work as slaves, please have your political master make it publicly known so that the people can decide if that should be their vision of life.

Not everyone can be their own boss. Similarly, not everyone can be a teacher or nurse or lawyer or salesperson.

You must know yourself. You can start by doing the Myers-Briggs test.

What a stupid moronic daft statement..coming from a Sinkie.

If they can know themselves, then why would these bread and butter dependent Sinkie still vote for the Pap since 2 decades ago?

They are the ones who is going to be at the front and suffer the worst, always depending on a job.

You mean these Sinkie still know themselves so well that their own gov ..CANNOT DO THEM IN?

If I was in his shoes, I would outsell any pinoy in his company. Locals already have the advantage of language n local knowledge n contacts her and still lose out to pinoys? These guys are losers!

BTW, based on this guy's story, had these pinoys not been making the sales calls good, the other 5 locals wouldn't even have jobs. How to argue against imports?

You left out the most important without completing your last sentence..

Only when one finally stops to blame others for their problems.
One would finally realized the real cause of their problems.

He is asking for a level-playing field in his OWN country. Is that an unfair entitlement?

When reading accounts like that, I feel very sad. These young people are the future of our country. How are they going to afford to buy sky-high priced hdb apartments ?

Wise people know their capabilities and follow their passions. Foolish people study whatever the govt declared to be 'the next big thing'. It used to be IT, then life sciences, then studio animation, then casino/gaming studies.

Fuck the govt. Know yourself. If you want to be a footballer or archaeologist, do it. Fuck 'contributing to Singapore's economy'.
The privileged folks usually have parents that can provide decent career guidance and introduction. Go to any private bank and count how many are from privileged background and got the job by virtue of family connection.

I recall one of my NS mate who has a rich and successful dad and he was steered to study anything but engineering because his dad told him engineers cannot make money. His dad gave him a few options: architect, econs, business, medical and law.

In hindsight this is so true, but all the rest of platoon mates that lived in hdb flats all gong gong listen to Philip yeo to study engineering. Most are still struggling today after two decades.

By growing our economy and importing more workers to build more flats.

They are still voting for the PAP to govern them?

In a closed society, each rung of workers have a job and role to play. But when the govt allowed foreigners to flood in, how do you expect the local workers in the middle rungs to compete?

Assuming a big chunk of foreigners are of top 10% calibre (according to human IQ bell curve), and sinkieland now has a 30-50% of work force consisting of these top 10% of human race, all willing to do the work that was formerly done by the average locals. Tell me, how do these average, middle rung locals compete and man up?

Without any protection, these middle rung locals can only downgrade their career and fight with the bottom jobs like toilet cleaners, sex workers, road sweepers.

It's crazy to continue to import so many foreigners, even if these foreigners are truly talented.

From where do you read that my platoon mates are voting pap? My generation is the reason why pap is gradually losing votes. It takes time for a generation's voices to be heard as voters consists of older generations who are diehard pap supporters.

To summarize, the govt doesn't give a fuck about us. In the 2016 GE, we must'nt give a fuck about the ruling party ..... despite apologies, wayang and other crap ........just fucking vote them out.

why are sinkies so obsessed with "buying" hdb apartments at the get go? is that the dream and objective of life? for a change of the sinkie mentality, i would recommend a different thinking right out of the gate. "why am i in this sinkhole, and how do i get out of it and make the world a better place?" think big, think outside, and execute.

sg is just a temporary place and platform, and a great one at that, for one to excel and contribute to mankind and the world. he should consider himself lucky to be born in sg. opportunities for learning and preparation for real life potential out there in the world are there to be exploited and maximized. if he doesn't appreciate that, he's a loser.
