add this rate, almost everything sold in sinkieland will go up in price.
It's ok.. the majority advocate for the lockdown. They should bear with the consequences. Those that wanted the lockdown should be happy n not complain about the price of the lockdown

I see a lot of mudslimes break their fast at fast food joints...really does not make sense. For the more atas ones. They break fast with a buffet at a restaurant.
https://www.foodadvisor.my/best-ramadhan-buffet-kl
when I was younger, I was told by elderly Malay, to eat slowly once you break fast and you will be full quickly. Nowadays, I see everyone stuffing their faces. I don't know what changed in those years.

Another issue is bcos sugar is cheap n makes food tastier like salt. Food Companies want to keep it that way because it keeps their costs low n they have no need to improve on better quality food. Another point need to add is bread. Alot of so called healthier bread is not healthy bcos there is alot of salt in it. Salt n sugar goes hand in hand in giving health issues. When one has hypertension. It's safe to assume one is also pre diabetic

It's all acquired taste. I've drastically cut down my consumption of salt and sugar and have learnt to appreciate the real flavours of food; soy milk no sugar please! Although I still indulge in my favourite prata banjir once in a while.

But like I said earlier, when life is so miserable already (for some) why deprive yourself of feel good foods?

Yes we all know what causes obesity, but do we ever stop to think Why they continue with their poor diets? All the preaching in the world on healthy diets is not going to change their minds.

One silver lining of the lockdown is mudslimes cant go to the restaurants so many will have to makan at home. So it might be healthier for them now

Alot of time. Makan is due to convenience. In ang mor lands. Cina take away is unhealthy n to smarter ppl. Its treated as soul food or as a treat. Complimented with salad etc. However modern lifestyle. Less time to cook. So eaten more often

no ,i am not joking ...yes ,they play as a part of the curriculam that realizes a healthy student is part of the education ...but sports per ce was never recognised as a study option for a career in british educational system of the past
The British have a sports club system which rectifies the shortcoming of sports in education. Manchester United, arsenal are all sports club which became enormous. But in villages and counties, they have badminton clubs, cycling clubs and if you have potential, you go to bigger clubs with proper coaches. Students participate in these clubs on Wednesday afternoon and Saturdays.

c'mon lah... stop being so anglophilic. Their clubs are just that. An excuse to get together to do something.

They are not overtly sports obsessed ala the Americans or Australians. If you tell me that the British are more sports oriented than the US and Ozzies, I think you need to visit the more.

as is likely to be with everyone and everything else.
The lockdown has to be lifted. The economic destruction is not worth it. It is not worth it to save a few deaths n a majority suffer with economic destruction, unemployment and mass poverty n starvation. More ppl die of the flu than the wuhan virus. N yet no lockdowns for flu

The point is, they have avenues and infrastructure for those who want to indulge in sports to go up. For all kinds of sports. Not just for rugby, cricket and football. And the local clubs are affiliated to the national organisation like English FA for football or British cycling for anything to do with cycling as a sports in great Britain. Sponsorship, grants and scholarships included.

I agree. there are better solutions.

I am aware. But they are not top tier in this regard. A lot of western nations have better infrastructure than what you mention.

You just watch fussball in deutschland at school level and have your socks blown off. or skiing in the rest of europe and the US. or swimming and cycling anywhere...

Singapore is bottom of the heap for developed countries, Britain is 2nd tier...

I think it's a couple of things. Malay food tends to be very sweet, oily and carb overrich. That plus the gorging mentality after breaking their ramadan fast trains them to have poor eating styles.
Not true. The original Malay foot are all" bakar". Like satay. Ikan bakar, daging bakar, ayam, ayam golek. 'll eaten with Malay sambal or air assam. Plus wild vegetables in ulam.eaten raw or boiled. That is it.
When oil was introduced, bakar became goreng.
Those are the food eaten everyday in rural areas.
The soup kambing, rendang etc are only for special occasion.

Germany is a different kettle altogether.
They have apprenticeship system for all profession. Not just sports.

yah... I just mentioned in an earlier post, when I was younger, older Malays used to tell me to do things the opposite of what the current generation of Malays do. I wonder what changed...

btw, I've been wondering about the origin of satay for a while. nice-gook says it's mediterranean, but I see Chinese, Indian Persian and Japanese also similar... you have any info?

Japan have similar appreticeship system for sushi and teoanyajki chefs, mechanics, plumbing, electrical etc. After several months or years, you take a exam and given certificate as a recognised professional. Much better than going to classrooms.
And hence Germany and Japan are one level up from the rest in terms of quality.

Barbecued meat is also available in China. Its just that it's simple to cook.the marinated are different.i think each area just evolved on its own. In Iran and middle East, they use steel spikes. In Asia, it's bamboo.
