betul, but the jury is still out on whether wearing the tudung, niqab etc makes one more muslim or if that's an off-shoot of the arab spring atau feshyen statement. even johor sultan and marina mahathir has spoken out on this issue to keep the malay culture intact instead of aping others. when I was in jln kathi, only the elderly ones who are hajiahs wear the tudung, not the younger ones that you see nowsadays. also, this may give rise to radicalisation bearing in mind our muslim neighbours and the younger ones associating with terrorism - isa notwithstanding, and the threat is real. many will not have issue with wearing the tudung but as stated, this may encourage the kepala batus to push the surat.
Its just like mcdunno and subway. These corporates can serve non halal sandwiches, but they will have problem getting local workers plus synergy in supply chain since neighbours are all halal. It makes business sense to go halal.

In the 1st place, sticking to your culture is definitely more important because that is what u are n what u belong to. Islam should be a religion by choice rather than being forced into it when u were born. U were deprived of your chance to choose. This has been unfair to u..No such thing as being a born buddhist, born christian or born muslim.
