I have worked with them. They are professional people, though a bit on the pedantic, perfectionist side. But they get the job done. Not like Ah Nehs or (some) Pinoys. And they aren't the backstabbing types. Japanese employers are also more reluctant to retrench workers during a recession; they value loyalty. Not like the trigger-happy Ang Mo employers.
Got to agree with you on this one. I used to work at a logistics company and my colleague who handles overseas client loves working with Japanese the most. Every requirement he specified got written down in the format he wanted. The same can also be said of the Koreans' working attitude. PRCs mostly delivers with occasional hiccups.
The race that he detest to work with is the Ah nehs. They constantly playing taichi politics. He had to call them several times and the ah neh always replied, "I already send you the report" where in fact, nothing has been send. When he pressed further, then the ah neh send taichi to his subordinate. I can understand why LKY said we are not ready for a Indian PM.
