Siglap CC is now officially open!
This beautiful new CC is the culmination of years of hard work by Dr Maliki Osman and Team Siglap. They surveyed about 700 households to decide on the facilities to be built.
As a result, the new CC has a bowling alley, culinary studio, 24-hour gym, a supermarket, and more! Had fun bowling, decorating cakes and meeting residents.
The community also contributed to the building of the CC through fundraising, including literally buying bricks to contribute to a brick art piece.
This spirit of community is what makes our CCs truly special, beyond just the physical infrastructure. None more so than celebrating National Day at the CC, which we did to some fanfare!

Siglap CC is officially open! My thanks to the Siglap CC management committee as well as sponsors and residents who made the CC a reality. If you look closely, this artwork is formed by individual brick pieces which were donated by residents. Each brick costs $1. The idea was that as long as residents can make a $1 contribution, they own part of the CC!

Had a wonderful time with our East Coast and Marine Parade Advisers at the “Celebrating Togetherness @ South East” Heartland National Day Celebrations at Wisma Geylang Serai on Sunday. It was a sea of red and white as families, neighbours, and friends took part in carnival games and hands-on art workshops. We also enjoyed live performances and a spectacular fireworks display. My thanks to NDPeeps and People's Association for organising this!
