COE Will Crash

It’s complicated to be charging for so many different things and having so many different bills when all can be lumped into a single bill.
Road tax and ERP could well be integrated into a seamless process with a single component, the OBU seems to be a good candidate, don’t you think?
I think OBU has other objectives besides money making. too early to analyse the implications and effects. But we can speculate with whatever limited information pap is willing to release

big data, the red one isn’t in PMO for fun I guess.

Please look at trends. COE pricing is supply and demand- look at 2003-2009 vs 2013-2019 trend, they correlate- save for that 1-time anomaly $1000 COE during the $5000 period in 2008.
good that u r analytical. let us wait to know what effects OBU will cause

no. i dont think that way

the elderlies have discounted rates on public transport, like-wise for schooling children.
those once-in-a-month picnics that warrants 2 PHCs will still cost less than owning a Cat B car.

i dont know what the real figure is

The major cities around the world are easily projecting between ranges of 15-18m in their capital city in 2030, save for Beijing and Shanghai where they projecting between 20m and 28m respectively.

i dont make such assumptions for families. all i can say is to hire two PHVs for a picnic is costly for a family

what has population of major cities got to do with COEs and road tax?

when they are staying at two separate locations, you have to count it as two families. :coffee::coffee::coffee:

I thank the collective wisdom from my kopi kakis. You thought I think through all these by myself? :whistling::whistling::whistling:

I think it is OK if do away with coe and all foreign vehicles on SG road also have that. Obviously the cheap bastards across the causeway are slippery and pap can't afford to enforce. Much easier to reach into your pockets instead.

Now imagine enforcing all cars on Sinkiestan roads with this OBU, don’t have one, rent one from the friendly ICA officer at the checkpoints.

Altogether now!!! HUAT AH!!!

Do you remember who said this:

"What's wrong with collecting more money?"

Why is it justified for pap to charge motorists road tax when it is charging them for road usage via the OBU? It is ignorant singaporeans like you that the pap is bold to continue with its evil ways
