Asians and high blood pressure

Actually no point seeing dr if you don't want to see the doctor.

Please please please. Those who don't want to see doctor and don't want to listen to doctor DO NOT GO TO THE CLINIC OR HOSPITAL!

DO NOT GO!

You can just stay at home or go see someone you want and trust.

Don't waste your time and their time going to the hospital or clinic. Ok?

The worst are those patients go to see doctor to quarrel with doctor and tell dr they are wrong and to do treatment the way the patient think is right.

It's not like you want some special custom bubble tea drink ok? Like Oolong Taro Tea with Grass Jelly or something like that. Doctor anyhow listen to you and do what you want will get dr in trouble ok!
I hate seeing the doctor, because I know my body better than they do. They always will find a way to make you take meds. Its as if they take commission from pharma companies. I will go only when I think I am really dying. I am happy with taking atenolol for the time being, going through a stressful period. I monitor my BP regularly. My old doc is my old friend.

Good.

25mg Atenolol is small dose lah.

Why still taking Atenolol? Your doctor must be old timer.

Somehow in Canada hardly anyone uses Atenolol these days.

If beta blocker is Bisoprolol or Metoprolol. And usually beta blocker not first line anymore
Usually either a Calcium Channel Blocker (CCB) or ACE or ARB inhibitor.

Amlodipine. Telmisartan. Irbesartan. Candesartan.
Thanks for the info doc:thumbsup: So, maybe I should ask for a different med?

Blood pressure and diabetes go hand in hand. The main culprit is carbohydrates like rice etc...that is why eat more veges n meat n less sugar n salt. N ensure got good bowel movement.

Actually when you are dying should stay at home and die with friends and family. DO NOT GO TO THE HOSPITAL!

As you said they will only pump you with meds because they take commission from pharma! Why you wanna do that when you gonna die already? Let pharma earn more money let drs earn more commission?

DO NOT GO!

In fact you should stop taking Atenolol also. Your old friend doc is probably reaping billions from the commissions from you taking Atenolol!

You should stop enriching your old friend and the pharma.

Everyone should stop taking medication. And never go to see the doctor. Go drink soursop juice or some magic cure and dont fall for the pharma hoax!

Seriously, really? So I was right? And I thought it's just a conspiracy theory! Most of the docs I have seen throughout my life were usually keen on prescribing meds for every little thing.

Absolutely, all the doctors earn billions from these commissions.

And the drug companies earn trillions!

You should help your friend.

Take more meds like Pantoprazole. Rosuvastatin. Synthroid. all small doses.

Also the vitamin and supplement industry. Doctors earn billions from those as well.

Oh and if the doctor recommend you use a handphone they also make billions from the commission too.

PAP also pays doctors billions to recommend patients vote PAP.

You ah! You are pulling my leg lah. I only said its as if they take commission from pharma companies. Not stating as fact that they do. I think doctors like to practice preventive medicine. And I don't like pumping too much meds into my system. Granted as we get older, more and more nasty things tend to crop up. Hence, I try to stay mentally and physically healthy (as much as possible). But my smoking isn't helping. Or maybe it is? And my stressful life......

Personally I will never go for any check. I will never check my own Blood Pressure.

Best way to die is to die of heart attack or stroke. Just DIE! Do not pass Go do not pass the hospital or clinic!

SO smoke more. Eat more. Drink more. Then hope die young. Best lah. Buy lots of insurance when young then die young best.

if you see old timer doctor they will also check diabetic patients using the rapid/instant glucometer. In sinkieland they call it "hypocount".

If fasting 4-7 they will say good. If random 5-10 will say good. If > 10 they will say oh maybe auntie or uncle you ate cake or some dessert last night? Had a good meal? All is good. No bother about HBA1c.

Old timer doctors are great. And their patients love them.

Even when they end up on dialysis or in hospital with stroke their families still love and cherish them.

VS

Young locum comes and says hey uncle you have to do HBA1c. Cost $35. The rapid one says your glucose is 15 too high lah. Even if you ate dessert or not we want to know your HBA1c as a measure of average overall sugar control not one time snap shot.

Patient curses the young doctor for trying to cheat her money pay for unecessary test and ask her to take more medicine so he can earn more money. Fuck the young doctor!

I have a sinkie friend here in Auckland who has an HbA1C of 48. Doctor in Auckland told him that it was pre diabetic and he had to be very careful with what he ate. I warned him that it was pretty high too and that mine was 36.

He went back to Singapore earlier in the year and the sinkie doctor told him 48 is fine. I now have to find out how old that sinkie doctor is.

48? as in 48%????

Usually more than 7% is poor Diabetic chronic control. so FORTY EIGHT?

I don't go for check-ups too. The last one I had was many years back.

I smoke because I hope to get a heart attack. I agree it is the best way to die! My father and grandfather both died of heart attacks. They suffered for only a few minutes before checking out. Dying from a heart attacks is a good death.

Haha yup. I am definitely out of date.

I have given up on medicine already.

All these nonensical changes. at the end of the day people just want to get well with no medicine and never see the doctor anyway.

Change units for what?

No idea why the changes were made. All I know is that NZ has adopted to new units of measurement.

may be it was 4% (instead of 48) corresponding to 69 mg/dl of blood sugar? mine is around 5%.
