LOL, no need lah, joking only lah, u just recovered, better not, hahaha...
Sunday, July 4, 11:00a.m. US Independence Day. I checked into Toa Payoh Swimming Complex. Pretending to be casual swimmer, after some warm-up in the public pool, I strayed to the diving pool, and checked the water, everything normal. Then I quickly sneaked up the platform staircase to 10m, posed a simple stance and jumped! With a straight dive without any somersault break, I must have plunged in at least 2m deep within 3 seconds.
The underwater view of a clean clear 4.5m pool is fantastic. I swam around pretending to be a fish for awhile until breath couldn't hold any longer, then reach for stairs. When I emerged, there's a burly tanned lifeguard standing there staring down at me, "Who are you? Who gave you permission to dive here? This is out of bounds to public."
I replied, "Oh is it? Sorry, but don't worry, I dived Kallang River, Farrer Park and Chinese Swimming Club pools since I was kid. You don't have to worry about my safety." He replied, "I can see that you can dive and you can swim, but regulations are regulations. Next time you want to do this, bring along a certified instructor or your certificate and register at the office first." I replied, "OK OK, sorry sorry, I'm going back now anyway."
I was thinking, next time England win the World Cup already.
