Very few people reads Chinese so we have to use English names

furthermore few computer systems in the word can support Chinese input!

How can angmos enter Chinese into their system?

They never learn before?

It is very funny when they enter your hokkien names and swap it around look as if they are trying to be funny!

Like Tan Ah Kow can become Ah Kow Tan or Tan Kow Ah or Kow A. Or Tan Kow or Tan Ah!

So troublesome in documents, makes you feel like want to Change to Harry Tan immediately

I defy u to show me one single article or publication that mentions his name as Harry Lee. He is Harry to his inner circle, there is no "Harry" in his passport, ic, etc. Therefore, 99% of the people address him in person as Lee kuan yew. He has never needed a western name, which is the subject of this thread.

Lots of Chinese I've come across are either Buddhists or claim to be free thinkers. But have English names all the same. Evidently they are ashamed of their names given by their own parents.

I used to have loads of fun during NS calling these Chinks by their given Chinese name - E.g.: Boon Pah or See Peng, etc.. .. "DON'T CALL ME THAT, MY NAME IS JONATHAN!!!"

I believe having observed the Chinese the problem is they do not have an IDENTITY of their own. They are always aping what they think is cool and in vogue from the Whites, Blacks, Japanese and even Koreans.

The Chinese male also lacks class. Observe this breed in the company of males of varied ethnicity and the Chinese male fades into the background like a wallpaper. He lacks confidence and is seldom engaging or vocal (unless the topic is on hos and GL ).

It is hardly surprising more and more Chinese gals are becoming SPGs and prefer the company of foreign males.
