Dear TRE,
Just take a look at this job ads below. It is being advertised in Australia trying to recruit teachers for Singapore secondary schools.
With so many PMETs out of job, I can’t believe the govt won’t recruit our own people for this, but rather go out and look for expensive FTs to fill the role.
I hope you can publicize this to the whole world.

they have to flood the educational system with foreign talents also so that
young children or people will get used to it, e.g project conditioning final
phase, and accept that FTs are part and parcel of the whole singapore deal.
unlike older people who are not so malleable, the young can be kneaded more
easily.

Because OZs are better than sinkies?

They trying to import some Swiss standard into the country ?

Oz can mate with sinkies and give them a ticket out of the country?

Good move. Australian holistic education system one of the best in the world. Marrying the best from the English and American teaching methods.

they are employing teachers, not adopt the aussie system.

Still if those first world aussie go to third world sinkie education system to teach, the aussie will be sinkified and polluted.

Any smart aussie will not take this chance.

Physical Education? Aussie is world class in physical education. We all know that. History? Aussies are very adaptable. They can teach the history that the regime wants.

Our entire teaching system including the Teachers is highly flawed , We need our next generation to be educated in another way by another group of people. I see this as a positive step towards a better Singapore, for your children and for my future children.

And yes, if you want your child to experience a true first world education, just emigrate to australia and let your child study there. This is the best.

You can't experience true aussie education when it is polluted by sinkieiness.

Eh many of the ministars are educated overseas including the beloved "pinky".

That's not entirely true. Many had their pre-university education locally for 12 years. What does it say about our system?

MOE has tried hiring English teachers from UK before...it was a complete failure.

MOE has resorted to hiring PRC teachers to teach 2nd language..but the scheme has caused a lot of problems because these PRC teachers can be effective in any school com and the burden falls heavily on SG teachers.

I foresee this plan to recruit Aus teachers, in the long run, will fali also

In Australia and Canada, getting into their teaching profession needs to either be educated there or certified through their teaching course even if you are an experienced teacher in Singapore. But to get into Singapore's teaching profession, even graduating from PRC will be qualified. Remember the fraud case where one PRC fake her degree and was discovered and deported back home?

This is not adding value to the teachers in singapore.

That is the level of competence of the sinkie govt. They do not care about the people. They only care that they need more people to vote them into power again in the next election.

u mean there is a great conspiracy going on for bringing FT teachers in? why cant it be just bacause there arent sufficient pmet who are qualified for these positions or that many locals arent interested to be teachers, that's why there is a need to bring in these FT teachers from australia?
