The Workers' Party

Low Thia Kiang,
I think you are happy to hear that Amos Yee is now in hospital.
WP do not deserved to be voted in as an opposition party as they are truly PAP 'B' Team.
RP, SDP and even paster do speak up for Free Amos except you LTK, SL and CSM and all WP members.
WP deserved to be kicked out.
Opposition party, please have 3-corners fight against all WP.
Singaporean, vote wisely.

Roy’s articles resonate with CPF members!
Protected July 6th, 2015 | Author: Contributions

CPF members should remember that Roy’s defamation suit by PM Lee resulted from his speaking up on our behalf. The court case is a lose-lose situation for everyone – tax dollars lost in court hearing, PAP will lose even more votes and CPF members still can’t get all OUR money back at 55.

1. WP support our CPF min sum withdrawal at age 65.
2. WP MPs have no balls to confront the PAP
3. Disgrace WP former MP for Hougang Yaw Shin Leong voted for PAP
4. Taiwan, HK, Malaysia, RP, SDP members, SFP members, Rev and thousand of Singaporeans see the injustice of Amos Yee and yet WP MPs to remain silent just to protect their 16k.

During past election rally, LTK and SL talk so much but after been elected WP always keep silent.
To conclude, WP MPs are all useless, no balls MP and WP is PAP 'B' Team

WP deserved to be kicked out.
Opposition party, please have 3-corners fight against all WP.
Singaporean, vote wisely.

Still giving WP or any oppo my vote.
WP just don't want to rock the boat till they have sufficient power in parliament. Then the hammer strikes. You think that all that happened to the WP, they gonna let it slide when they get into power?

A vote for WP is a vote for PAP.
WP is PAP 'B' Team and WP is a fake opposition party

They juz dont deserved to be in Parliament.
They can do something(activities) like the Salvation Home;
they hv no politcal blood in vein.
You think they can earn 16k in private sector??

Yay! A perfect gift from the world on the year of our golden jubilee, recognising our contribution to industrial civilisation!
But here's the catch: "Today, there is no mandatory step in the planning process where environmental and heritage impact assessments are conducted before excavators sweep in - a point that an independent panel of Unesco experts noted was lacking here in its report on the Gardens."
This struck me at another level. Was doing Hammer outreach yesterday and a supportive resident shared his concern that his friends are all remarking to him that Chen Show Mao is too quiet, seemingly disappearing after the big bang of an entrance in 2011. Advised that WP should try to boost his profile.

Has CSM disappeared? Nope. His grassroots scene in Paya Lebar ward is very lively and he is actively organising them (not just turn up as VIP). Yes, less is heard of him in Parliament, but then the news tends to report sizzling debates and it is not quite his style to go a-whacking. He does the work of raising important points without much fanfare. These are two instances THIS YEAR that he raised exactly what the UNESCO experts noted:

Andrew Loh expressed frustration and disappointment that no MP, be it PAP or WP has made any comment on the torture, unfair treatment or cruel inhumane vindictive political persecution of AMOS.
I would like to share with him and all here why this is so. I was persuaded by many well meaning supporters and close associates not to comment or get involved in this Amos saga simply because they opined that I will lose support and votes from Singaporeans who may be either opposition supporters
or middle ground voters.

----------------------------------------------

Workers' Party, please read properly

Why are you inside the parliament for ???
For fcuk sick just to collect 16 and to keep silent.
Shame on you Low Thia Kiang calling yourself opposition member.
Supporters of Amos Yee and all mothers,
Please void your vote in Aljunied GRC, Hougang and Punggol East.
You judge yourself to see WP is a useless opposition.
WP under LTK will not progress further as LTK has no ball to talk for you.

Now you know why WP kept silent in parliament !!!!
WP is PAP 'B' Team
LTK, SL, CSM and all WP members feel offended with Amos Yee 8 min video

Opposition Supporters !!!!!!

Do you still want to support the WP=Silent Party and PAP 'B' Team ???????

=========================================

LTK has been MP for 25 years?

Horrible I agree! He is the de facto leader of the Opposition, yet he behaves like a PAP MP. He should have been raising key issues on the Amos Yee persecution. But he didn't. For that failing, he does not deserve another shot in office. Out he goes.
------------------------------------------------------------------

LTK is an idiot. He is PAP-lite. He should be out there speaking loudly about the abuse of Amos Yee. Instead, he said nothing. LTK doesn't believe in freedom of speech. He doesn't think PAP is that bad ...wondering if the PAP paid him some money to top up his MP pay to million dollar salary ...the impression he gives is that WP is happy to just remain opposition and let PAP run the show. Damn LTK.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
WP is a BIG disappoint. A major issue on freedom of speech and the political persecution of a child, WP says nothing. If it doesn't even know what is important, why the hell do we want to support them?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

I say again, WP hv been fixed to enjoy the 15k. by the ruling party.
They hv lost their soul n balls. They look and are different during election time.

I am deeply worried that our premier Opposition Party was not deeply worried about the UN-condemned Amos saga, or Roy’s ordeal, our CPF’s inequitable tie up with GIC and Temasek, our PM’s ill health absence of clear succession plan coupled with sole control of a trillion dollar reserves, our invested CPF money in China when there is a stock-meltdown there, or the strange case of Najib’s funds transiting through S’pore and many many other pressing concerns. This present statement is just cheap, risk free and meaningless. Even Hsien Loong and Lui and Desmond are ‘extremely concerned’. So what? Wake up, WP!

The Wayang party only creeps out to issue statements when it has surveyed the area to be safe, then they will spring into action. Our Amos and Roy cases plus legitimate issues like housing, CPF, transport and many others are topics that affect every citizen and we seldom heard them utter out on our behalf from their golden mouths. So, we must bear in mind in the coming election to vote the party that can care for the electorades rather their own interests.

Agreed – especially “This present statement is just cheap, risk free and meaningless.”!
A responsible Opposition is elected to speak up on important/critical national issues. If they don’t have the CONVICTION AND COURAGE – cowed by ‘risks’ – to do so, then they have failed their in duty as representatives elected to speak and act in the people’s interests.
By keeping timidly/cowardly quiet, they are:
1. Conceding/surrendering all the say to PAP’s one-sided say on all such issues.
2. They are slowly but surely digging their own political graves.

Aljunied GRC, Hougang & Punggol East residents,
Many and many opposition supporters already lost hope on the WP.
A matter of fact WP is a no balls party just want to be in parliament to collect easy 16k

Perhaps you should take some of SDP traits and work on them. If in a three cornered fight between PAP, WP and SDP, I would vote for Dr Chee’s party because I belief Dr Chee and his people can shout louder than you at the PAP. Keep that in mind and change your mindset a little.

I am very concerned too over WP silence on many issues. An opposition party that keeps its head in the sand? On the cusp of another GE, it’s finally stirring?

WP is such a disappointment. Disruption on 7th July. Now 3 days later then come out and talk. 马后炮. Kenna fix by the ruling party until cannot speak out when things happen?
By the way again, these problems and many bread and butter issue other than AY are on going also never heard anything from WP. Either WP just contend to earn the MP allowance and sleep till next GE or they had lost the spirit to fight after the FIXING. Which is which? Like that WP only fit to be passenger. Co-driver also cannot. No wonder the pigs dare to send even the clowns in to retake the lost GRC. No need heavy weight.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Workers' Party has been a big disappointment in Parliament. Low Thia Khiang was a roaring tiger at election rallies but in Parliament he was nothing more than a church mouse. Chen Show Mao, one of its MPs elected from Aljunied GRC was introduced as a shining star at the last GE but he ended up worse than Low.
People like Dr Chee Soon Juan ,Tan Jee Say and Kenneth Jeyaratnam should be voted into Parliament to hold Ministers to account, ask probing questions , raise relevant issues and take on the Ministers. Each one of them – very knowledgeable, sharp and articulate – can teach Low Thia Khiang (he will probably become a NCMP winning the most votes slate of votes for his team amongst the losers) how to perform as an effective Opposition MP.

Abstract for Panel One: Super Urban Singapore
Several major developments that are being planned for the next few decades will transform Singapore’s cityscape. Paya Lebar Airbase and Keppel Port will be relocated, opening up prime land for redevelopment. The current government projects the population will hit 6.9 million in 2030 and is planning to further build up Singapore to accommodate the influx of migrants. By 2065, the 99-year lease clock would be ticking for many HDB estates, where over 80 per cent of Singapore live. The extensive redevelopment of our old heartland regions beckons, as is already happening in old estates such as Queenstown. Would we see the island dominated by 50-storey HDB flats with sky gardens to match the towering skyscrapers of the downtown district? Would most of us live, work, love and shop underground, turning street-front living into a luxury good? What are the environmental, social, cultural and political implications? What should we do to co-create our vision of a super-urban Singapore?
