The Workers’ Party is deeply worried over the 3.5 hour disruption of train services along the entire stretch of both the North-South and East-West MRT lines on 7 July 2015

I am deeply worried that our premier Opposition Party was not deeply worried about the UN-condemned Amos saga, or Roy’s ordeal, our CPF’s inequitable tie up with GIC and Temasek, our PM’s ill health absence of clear succession plan coupled with sole control of a trillion dollar reserves, our invested CPF money in China when there is a stock-meltdown there, or the strange case of Najib’s funds transiting through S’pore and many many other pressing concerns. This present statement is just cheap, risk free and meaningless. Even Hsien Loong and Lui and Desmond are ‘extremely concerned’. So what? Wake up, WP!

The Wayang party only creeps out to issue statements when it has surveyed the area to be safe, then they will spring into action. Our Amos and Roy cases plus legitimate issues like housing, CPF, transport and many others are topics that affect every citizen and we seldom heard them utter out on our behalf from their golden mouths. So, we must bear in mind in the coming election to vote the party that can care for the electorades rather their own interests.

A responsible Opposition is elected to speak up on important/critical national issues. If they don’t have the CONVICTION AND COURAGE – cowed by ‘risks’ – to do so, then they have failed their in duty as representatives elected to speak and act in the people’s interests.
By keeping timidly/cowardly quiet, they are:
1. Conceding/surrendering all the say to PAP’s one-sided say on all such issues.
2. They are slowly but surely digging their own political graves.

Human nature. When wants to be elected, promise here promise there, co-driver here co-driver there, slap here slap there. BUT when elected or future to form new gahment, the cycle will go on. So quiet, timid and becomes like YES man too. No comments on Roy’affairs, Amoys treatment and many other issues. Just thinking, will this B team, when form new gahment tomorrow, how much will their salary be? Can future Minister pays be the most 25k/mth?

Workers Party please be more garang and push the govt harder. You are too soft, too bochap (eg Amos and Roy) and playing it too safe.
Perhaps you should take some of SDP traits and work on them. If in a three cornered fight between PAP, WP and SDP, I would vote for Dr Chee’s party because I belief Dr Chee and his people can shout louder than you at the PAP. Keep that in mind and change your mindset a little.

WP is such a disappointment. Disruption on 7th July. Now 3 days later then come out and talk. 马后炮. Kenna fix by the ruling party until cannot speak out when things happen?
By the way again, these problems and many bread and butter issue other than AY are on going also never heard anything from WP. Either WP just contend to earn the MP allowance and sleep till next GE or they had lost the spirit to fight after the FIXING. Which is which? Like that WP only fit to be passenger. Co-driver also cannot. No wonder the pigs dare to send even the clowns in to retake the lost GRC. No need heavy weight.
