I took the step forward today. I was successfully nominated and I saw myself speaking to a crowd dressed in blue and white waving their favourite memorabilia. So glad to see so many of them, standing under the hot sun, cheering their favourite candidates on!
It was straight back to the ground after that, speaking to residents and listening to their needs. It was practically hands-on from the word go! As Nomination Day (& Day 1) comes to a close, I went back home and back to my speeches for the days ahead. What a day! More to come and more to learn along the way. I look forward to meeting you on the campaign trail.

My morning ritual this season, waiting for Allan under the gentle shadow of the Hammer and listening to On Eagle's Wings, a favourite Catholic hymn, on repeat to fortify myself. But after 20 minutes he was no-show. Turned out all the alarms couldn't wake him up because he had yet another sleepless night doing logistics for the Party and the East Coast team. Am taking a cab to Bedok MRT and realised he and other incredibly dedicated volunteers are our eagle's wings. Thank you!
