• Critics blamed Ng Kok Song for diluting Tharman's votes.
• Many Tharman supporters weep openly and mourn for the unexpected loss.

• PM Lee calls for calm and says cabinet will meet to discuss contingency plans.

Although WP 'officially' did not and cannot support because they have elected MPs in parliament and it will be too obvious.
But we jolly well knows many WP supporters are putting their stake in this vote too, LOL. So we are technically talking about voters strength potentially ranging from 40% upwards to 65%.

It would be a very desirable outcome, if this Presidential Election encouraged and results in many candidates to be candidates in the next General Elections, and the non PAP candidates form more than one third of the next Parliament. So that, the ruling party cannot regularly make amendments to the Constitution.
