Tan Kin Lian support thread

I do not condone this man's action. Looks like TCB & Opposition party's support for TKL is bringing out all these siao langs of the society with an axe to grind against the Gov, LOL.

This fine young man is far from being a "siao lang". Otherwise, Lau Chee Hong would not have contacted him to offer him to be in his Council of Presidential Advisers alongside Tan Cheng Bock and Tan Jee Say.

Ng Kok Song, needless to say, has fucked up this young man's chances of being in Lau Chee Hong's CPA. So this poor chap is understandably upset.

ON HIS BID FOR PRESIDENCY

Friday’s press conference was Mr Tan’s first public appearance since submitting his application for a certificate of eligibility on July 11.

Should he qualify and proceed with his bid for the presidency, this would not be his first rodeo. He last stood as a candidate in the 2011 election, where he came in last of four candidates, getting 4.91 per cent of the 2,274,773 votes.

On Friday, Mr Tan also introduced his proposer, seconder, principal election agent and one of his assenters. They are:

  • Mr Tan Jee Say, his proposer
  • Mr Lim Tean, his seconder
  • Mr Prabu Ramachandran, his principal election agent
  • Mr Allan Yeo Gim Beng, one of his assenters

Lau Chee Hong is hardly independent. In fact, there is reason to believe that he is downright corrupt. He should be arrested by CPIB under Section 15 (1) of the Prevention of Corruption Act 1960 (Act) and investigated by CPIB under Section 6 (b) and 9 (2) of the Act.

Tan Cheng Bock and Tan Jee Say should be similarly arrested under Section 15 (1) and investigated by CPIB under Section 6 (a) and 9 (1) of the same Act.

This is since all three, one reasonably suspected to be a corrupter and the other two, reasonably suspected to be corruptees, know that Tan Cheng Bock and Tan Jee Say will get a slice of the estimated $820,000 budgeted for the Council of Presidential Advisers in the form of "honorariums" (payments for professional services - something like salary) if Lau Chee Hong becomes President. A reasonable suspicion thus exists for their arrest and subsequent investigation.

This is how cunning Lau Chee Hong is. He attempts to bribe Tan Cheng Bock and Tan Jee Say for their support using not his own money but that of taxpayers. It is called P2P (Pay-to-Play). And we can all see how Tan Cheng Bock and Tan Jee Say are playing very hard.

Great point raised there PTADER!

Everyone were wondering whether Tan Cheng Bock and Tan Jee Say really supported this damn teeko pek/ clown out of the love of country. Now we see that there could be another facet of getting a slice of that juicy moneypot at the end of this.
