suffered heavy losses at the slots....got to stop for some time. i believe they have modified the odds. perhap my luck has run out.....:(:(:(

anyway , my impression is: the casino is not making as much, so the slots will have to cut down on payouts. i agree with brothers here to give the slots a miss for a long time....

even the roulette tables are empty. even the $5 tables are bear!!! many have lost!!! the big time skyscrapers have almost disappeared.

i saw one uncle placed skyscrapers of $5 with his $1 K buying chip and he lost all in double quick time...returned to try his luck....and then lost again...

i saw another well dressed gentleman bought a $1K $10 chips and distributed the chips in the last 12 numbers...and twice the number 6 came out!!! he could not believe his eyes and walked away a dejected man!!!!

the casino is now in the WINNING MODE and NOT PAYING....so better keep a low profile before you lose everything...

This is not a phenomenon. It's very normal. In a casino there will be winners and losers. Days we win and days we will lose.

I also have days when lose. We may have saw that person losing but he could be winning on days when we are not there to witness. Most important thing is still to know how to walk away when losing.

The lack of crowd in MBS may let us see people losing/winning more easily.

When I lose I will go off. Try not to stay long. When you are on a winning streak, continue playing till the winning streak snaps and cash out.

Hi apologies to barge into this thread. I have to admit I have never been to the casinos in Singapore but have visited several in the united states , canada, australia and macau but as a tourist, more or less.

I am interested for those slot players, how much are you prepared to lose per visit? or you go in without setting a limit?

Just curious...for me when I visit those casinos- which is not very often. I have set a capital of about 300-400 SGD. Once I double that amount I'd quit, and of course once I lose all that, I'd have to quit too.

Statistically, setting fixed dollar amounts like this is not as effective as seperating the amount you play into initial capital and winnings/losses.

The reason for this is if you set fixed absolute amounts like this, you tend to gamble away any winnings you might have e.g. you start with $300, win $100, lose $100 and then lose $300.

On the other hand you could play a simple system where you start with $300 and keep it in your right pocket. Any winnings you have, you keep in your left pocket. When the $300 in your right pocket runs out, you go to the cashier and cash out whatever is in your left pocket.

If you go to a casino like Genting which has nn or dead chips, it is even easier to implement this system. This is because the nn chips are physically different from the normal cash chips you win at the table. When you buy them, you get benefits (e.g. in Genting you get meal vouchers, Genting Points). The way to have a bit of fun would therefore be to buy the nn chip package and gamble only with the nn chips. Once the nn chips run out, you cash out your cash chips and leave the casino.

Genting also has a system of nn slot credits. To keep track of this, just use one of those cards from the baccarat table to note the number of times you have played. Once your nn slot credits run out, go the cashier and cash out whatever cash credits you have in your card.

OIC, I have never thought of it this way. Thanks. That sounds like a better way of playing. No wonder most of the time I lose all my capital! LOL. The only time I won "big" (by my standards) was when I got SGD 800+ in Macau. That win was enough to cover my entire trip there and then some.

Just my personal opinion, but I prefer your original method than aurvandil's. (No offence Stanley)

I am not returning to MBS until my favarite game is ready.
Perhaps I have no luck at MBS, the games don't pay out as much as RWS.
A same game with same credits play at MBS will NEVER pay me an amount like RWS.

For instant, 150credits play, feature spins payout:

MBS - Normal payout 1,000 - 10,000 credits
RWS - Normal payout 3,000 - 25,000 credits.

MBS - Worst payout 0 credit- happens quite often.
RWS - Worst payout 1,000credits - 0 credit, very rare.

MBS - Best payout 20,000 - 40,000 credits - Once every 5 visits. Above 50,000 credits, "mission impossible", never happen to me.
RWS - Best payout - 50,000 - 100,000 credits - Once very 3 vists.

For me I have to discipline myself to print out the slip and START afresh with another $50 note

I'm keeping a low profile. Can you imagine putting in $100 notes into my favourite Silver Rain Quickhit at NEVER got a bonus or even some mini awards!!!! I gave up after that and didn't play anymore.

The slots have been modified. Even the Golden Glitter paid the minimum Progressive - considered not bad - but also lost $100. Bad day for slots. Not so bad for roulette.

Went home down and out...having a curfew now.

Genting end of year is peak season. And Genting Hotel is under renovations. That is why Highlands Hotel has limited allocation also. Priority is Gold member and above. The rest they will try to push you to Resort Hotel.

went genting last week, i can tell the crowds are getting lesser at circus palace, hollywood and IR AND GP points given are less generous as before

some promotion going on for table and slots player

but i do hear about some local sg old aunties commenting about witnessing jackpt winners at Luxury of Life (25K rm) and Jackpot Carnival (17K rm) on the return coach ride. And its during the wee hours the jackpot prizes dropped!!! i do wonder why it is always the case

actually i played a few hundreds rm on slots, playing mainly the Samurai Luxury of Life slots, the Diamond Queen at the Genting Million and the Koala Jackpot Carnival.
