Yes, ever since Steve Jobs returned to Apple we can see the things he's done, differently. Very amusing that Creatives Sim publicly challenged Apples iPod.

Its OK to make the challenege, but cannot just be based on cheaper price alone. Must have some sort of game plan & now obvious that Creative is now in trouuble. Same mistake PAP is making i.e. cheap labor to attract MNC.

History has shown that SJ got it right, people wanted an "easy to use" portable device, never mind if music quality wasn't Hi Fi. Apple beat Creative because of the better user interface & itunes, they have a better game plan.

Same thing is going on with the Iphone. It may not have the best camera or best sound, etc, but it offers better integration & user experience. Look at Japan, technically they have the best handphones around but the iPhone is expected to do great.

As a consumer I am attracted to technology that I can use. I don't mind seeing others with the same device but then I don't own a Rolex or drive a Mercedes. However I do own Apple stocks : )

TODAY gave a good review of the phone in friday's paper. convinced me not to buy it.

The old virgin butch at ST also had a similar review
 
so far the iphone review is not that great from the several forum sites......i predict it wouldn't do well in s'pore market......

I regretted because iPod restricted my FREEDOM to copy songs, podcasts, audiobooks etc... to and from computer without using the bloatware iTunes (comes with mobile stuffs etc.. even if you don't use a iPhone).

Presently, I bought a Nokia symbian phone for the first time. It came with GPS, WiFi, Podcast, Audio Books, Radio, MP3 Player, Camera, Network Access, Push Mail, Oxford Dictionary with Audio, Wikipedia, Document Editing, PDF, Book Reader, Picture Uploading, Sync with Server and Calendar. One up for Nokia!

My iPod relegate to the reservist unit now. I really appreciate the FREEDOM to move all my data without any restrictions at all. don't think I will have any interest in IPod again. BTW I owned 3 iPods... and now I know what I'm missing after using Nokia.

U sure?I got one from singtel on mon been using it since tue after a solid 8 hrs charged.Till now indicater still at 1/4 and mind u I have been using the safari to do surfing often seems to me only this function is good to me as in speed compare to N82.Too bad internet banking not support for DBS.;)

iphone is just another fad.... I still use a simple no-frills, no camera monochrome screen... good enough for me....
