I thank all our Silver Generation Office ambassadors and partners for working hard to provide support for our seniors, especially during the pandemic.
Many of you have made regular calls to check on our seniors, ensured they are healthy, and helped them to learn new digital skills.
Enjoyed spending time with you at our Silver Generation Office Marsiling-Yew Tee 8th Anniversary Celebration!

The People's Association is the social glue of our neighbourhoods and the vital link between the government and the people.
That we are a high-trust society today is partly due to the contributions of the PA and the grassroots movement, among many others.
As we continue engaging everyone on how we can refresh and update our social compact, the PA too plays a key role in this effort.
I hope to see the PA staying connected and relevant to our youths, building consensus amidst diversity, and strengthen our community.
Thanks for having me yesterday at the PA Community Seminar, and it was good to catch up with many of our grassroots leaders. #ForwardSG

Glad to join MENDAKI Singapore in their #makingconnections dialogue with Malay-Muslim professionals yesterday. In our small group discussions, we spoke about our future, how the community plays a key part in our shared vision of success, and how professionals can contribute more.
Let’s continue with the strong spirit of helping one another and striving to learn and grow. I have every confidence that the Malay-Muslim community will continue to do even better. I look forward to working with all of you.

We are resuming our ministerial visits to the community after a hiatus of 2+ years due to the pandemic.
The visits are a way to bring the Forward Singapore exercise to residents, and also to strengthen our partnerships with community partners and stakeholders.
Many thanks to Yip Hon Weng 叶汉荣 and team for hosting my visit yesterday to Yio Chu Kang. Great to have the chance to speak to residents and see the good work the community partners are doing, including plans to make YCK the first fully dementia-friendly division in Singapore!

Tried my hand at mural painting at Blk 612! A beautiful collaboration between residents, community partners and students from Yio Chu Kang Secondary School and ITE College Central, which also serve as a wayfinding aid for persons living with dementia.

Spoke to seniors about the Personal Alert Button (PAB) pilot system, which can be very useful for seniors who stay alone and require assistance during emergencies.
