It's hard work to raise a child! So we want to help provide families with more support for your child-raising expenses, as also announced at Budget 2022.
By now, those who have opened a Child Development Account (CDA) for your child aged 0 to 6 years in 2022, should have received a one-off top-up of $200. This can be used to pay for your child's educational and healthcare expenses. If you have yet to open a CDA, you can do so by 30 June 2023 to get the top-up.
Singaporean children aged 7 to 20 years this year would have received a one-off $200 top-up to their Edusave account or Post-Secondary Education Account in May 2022 too.
It's important for our children to have a bright and happy future - and the journey towards that starts young. Let's continue to work together to secure our kids' futures!

Lawrence wants to work together.

How do we get people to recognise and appreciate the contribution, dignity and value of every worker, regardless of their salaries?
The Alliance for Action for Lower-wage Workers is a good example of how people with different experiences and skillsets can come together, to contribute meaningfully to this cause. And all your ideas and feedback help us canvass what changes we can make together as a government, employer, union leader and individual, to advance the realm of lower-wage workers.
Thanks for sharing your views at today's engagement. Let’s continue to work together to build consensus and implement solutions that will have real impact on the ground, on our journey to becoming a more inclusive society.

It was heartening to see about 3,000 runners persevering to complete their Yellow Ribbon Race run this morning despite the heavy downpour.
Thanks to everyone’s support, we raised $150,000. These funds will be used for programmes to help ex-offenders to re-integrate into society.
We can all do our part and build a better, more inclusive Singapore. Let’s continue to uphold this strong spirit of solidarity to support all our ex-offenders and strive to be a society that believes in second chances.

Great job by our volunteers too! They were stationed along the route to cheer for the runners (and us).

Was presented a cracked vase by ex-offender turned artist, Kim Whye Kee (left of photo). He used Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery to make this vase. To Whye Kee, ex-offenders are like a cracked vase and Yellow Ribbon is Kintsugi, a metaphor for embracing their flaws and imperfections.

I was happy to join many exciting events this weekend, and Singapore Indian Development Association's Excellence Awards was one of them.
This year welcomed a record number of award recipients, reflecting the achievements of Indian students across various domains such as arts and sports.
For every Singaporean to realise our full potential, we have to continue supporting each other in our own journeys of excellence.
The Government and self-help groups like SINDA will continue to play a key role in providing necessary support for youths. Change will not be not be easy, and that's why we are embarking on the #ForwardSG exercise.
By working together, we can shape our collective vision for the nation and build a Singapore that ensures greater opportunities for all.
Let’s continue to progress upward and outwards to a better Singapore!
