Together with Alex Yam, Zaqy Mohamad, Hany Soh and Desmond Lee, we had our groundbreaking ceremony for the “Heart of Yew Tee” project this morning. This integrated development is designed as a “vertical kampung" (like what was done previously in Kampung Admiralty) and will be a new focal point for the estate.
Located next to Yew Tee MRT station, the development will provide housing for seniors, together with convenient access to many amenities including a polyclinic, dialysis centre, and the first hawker center for the Choa Chu Kang and Yew Tee region!
We are all looking forward to its completion in around 5 years’ time! Marsiling-Yew Tee GRC Our Limbang

Nothing beats face-to-face interactions! We have not been able to have a full-scale award ceremony for some time since the pandemic started.
This year, I’m glad to be able to resume our usual Limbang Edusave Awards ceremony. Good to see many familiar faces and congratulate them and their parents on their achievements in person! Our Limbang

We are about a month away from Budget Day! Together with Gan Kim Yong, we joined various captains of industry at the Singapore Business Federation pre-Budget engagement.
It was good to chat and interact with everyone in person. The sentiments are more positive compared to previous years when we were in the throes of the pandemic. But the outlook for the coming year remains challenging, with concerns about inflation and business costs continuing to weigh on everyone's minds. We also discussed the many opportunities for growth and transformation that lie ahead, including how we can help companies innovate, internationalise and continue their transformation journeys.
We will consider carefully all the inputs and feedback from the industry, as we put together our plans for the Budget. #SGBudget2023

பொங்கலோ பொங்கல்! (May this rice boil over!)
This weekend is Pongal. It is a time for people to come together and express gratitude for the previous year.
As part of the celebration, a rice dish (called Pongal) is prepared using milk and cane sugar, with the milk being allowed to boil over as a symbol of abundance.
Happy Pongal! And here’s to a bright and positive year ahead.

Big dreams start with little steps.
Was down at the Zoo to announce the launch of Little Steps @ North West, to provide additional support for KidSTART families with young children.
I hope this will make a meaningful difference in the lives of these young families. We are committed to ensuring all our children have the best possible start in life.
