Understanding off-peak car schemes
There are 3 types of off-peak car schemes — Weekend Car (WEC), Off-Peak Car (OPC), and Revised Off-Peak Car (ROPC).
The main difference between the three schemes is the restriction on usage hours.
Check which scheme your car is under by
logging in with your Singpass.
Restricted hours
Cars under the WEC/ OPC/ ROPC schemes cannot be used during the following hours. To use your WEC/ OPC/ ROPC during restricted hours, you must buy an
electronic Day (e-Day) Licence and indicate a usage date.

Driving a car during restricted hours
To drive your WEC/ OPC/ ROPC during
restricted hours within a day, you will need to buy an e-Day Licence for $20 and indicate a usage date.
Buying an e-Day Licence
To drive your WEC/ OPC/ ROPC during the
restricted hours, you will need to buy an e-Day Licence and indicate a usage date.
You can buy an e-Day Licence at the following:
- Online (Available all day except from midnight to 1am)
- AXS (m-Station, e-Station and kiosks)
- SAM Kiosk, Web, and SingPost Mobile App
- By logging in to your dashboard.
Using an e-Day Licence
You can buy an e-Day Licence up to 2 weeks in advance. If you change your mind about using it, you can
cancel the e-Day Licence or update the usage date before 7am on the specified date of use. Check the timeline below.
You can cancel or update the usage date of your e-Day Licence at the following:
- Online (Available all day except from midnight to 1am)
- By logging in to your dashboard
Note: Undated e-Day Licences are no longer available for purchase. If you had previously bought undated e-Day Licences, you can still use them. You must specify a usage date by 11.59 pm the next day after driving your WEC/ OPC/ ROPC. Otherwise, the undated e-Day Licence is considered invalid.
If you drove during restricted hours without an e-Day Licence
It is an offence to use a WEC/ OPC/ ROPC during restricted hours without an e-Day Licence.
If you drove during restricted hours without an e-Day Licence, you have until 11.59 pm the next day to
buy an e-Day Licence. If you miss this deadline, you have 3 more days to
declare to LTA and you have to pay a fee of $30.
If you do not buy an e-Day Licence or declare usage of your car during restricted hours within 5 days of usage, you may face a fine of up to $5,000 for the first offence, and a fine of up to $10,000 for subsequent offences.
