Husband wife & baby move to NZ from Sinkiepore

You can get the same lifestyle if you move to a rural areas in Jiu hu or Thailand. I think.

Good choice for this young couple.
Just came back from a 14day self drive vacation in NZ. The country is absolutely gorgeous. Stunning views and picturesque landscapes everywhere I went. Man, the whole country is like a beautifully manicured park.
People there are easily the friendliest you could ever get. The work life balance is incredible for the locals. Even taxi drivers are friendly and helpful there.
Want to avoid CECA? No way. Most cab drivers are CECA and even tiongs to a lesser extent. So, in big cities like auckland , queenstown, etc you will see loads of asian. CECA and chinese in particular.
In rural areas where there are no asian, it can be a real challenge to find eateries or shops after dark.
The major downside is the weather. Even though it was late spring, I found myself donning winter wear in some places. On the other hand, the sun can be scorching hot and it also seems to rain a lot intermittently.
For experienced drivers, driving is a breeze there cos NZ roads are well paved and adequately signposted. Inexperienced drivers may find it a little challenging to negotiate mountain regions due to windy roads with sharp bends.
I do not think living there is a going backwards. It's all about what do you prefer in life.

Japan has beautiful landscapes but it's sporadic whereas NZ is beautiful practically most places. The vibe is rather pleasant I must say. Japan may be more vibrant in the cities but for those who wish to emigrate there's that language barrier. And no, Japanese aren't exactly super friendly. They are just super polite.

Most of you guys will run out of the bedroom
lol
brbbrbrbruuuuuhahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

It must’ve been a huge effort. But it sounds like it paid off! I’ve done a big move myself, and honestly, the process can be a total headache if you try to handle everything on your own.

It's the exact opposite of fair. Fairness is when hard work is rewarded and sloth is punished not the other way round.

For anyone looking to move to NZ and elsewhere…. Spend some time to live like a local first… Every place has its own inconveniences and nuances too… Including NZ.

I spoke to a colleague who was in NZ for a while… he told me the arrival of the Islanders was a major concern then. :frown:

Now that I am over 55 and travel quite a bit in my lifetime.. I say find a way to have money work for you and live within your means. You can live anywhere comfortably .
