Serious SG Special Forces soldier becomes a monk

I don't know what happened to u mah.
Please don't take it to heart.

It's difficult, but I will try to heed your kind advice. I really hope to be able to meet you one day and thank you in person for helping me to see my shortcomings.

I used to fish a lot (as a hobby, not livelihood) before I was sent to prison. It helped me to unwind and relax; I find it better than meditation. I may need to resume this hobby as after talking to you, I realise all these ill-will and grudges I have against His Holiness, the Venerable Tenzin Drachom, is petty, unnecessary, stressful and is not harming him or anyone else but myself.

Thanks to the Yellow Ribbon Project, one of my ex-prison mates now owns his own kelong business. Business is so-so but it's his own business, so he is happy and contented. Perhaps one day, we can meet in one of the Changi pubs for a drink and then go fishing together at his kelong.

Hokay.

I can answer the first question. If Fred is exposed as one of those who participated, then from Fred we can trace his teammates.

Just want to clarify that revealing himself (and not his teammates) is also revealing "who" participated in the mission. That is my understanding of PTADER's message.

ltc fred cheong is no longer "alive".

ask Buddhist practicioner.

Only Ven Tenzin Drachom is alive.

ltc Fred Cheong =/= venerable Tenzin Drachum,

according to Buddhist Tradition

these are 2 different person.

When he dies, gets reincarnated again as a monk and as an SOF Rambo to serve his country, would that be 2, 3 or 4 different persons?

Seriously, do you guys know what is satire?

I know!

It's the name of a company in Changi Village that organises fishing expeditions for fishing enthusiasts and sells fishing equipment under its "satire" brand name. Not sure if they are still around though as they like to hoodwink their customers, many of whom were very gullible and would fall for their sales pitches and bullshit stories.

Fred is very lucky to get ordained by the Dalai Lama, especially his holiness now is China Best Friend and Singapore will not want to offend China, having this news being published only in 147th. Im sure Drachom will go back to his past as SOF fighter to protect his holiness from the PLA if necessary. Fred and Drachom are same same no different.

it's the prostituting media in sg that seeks out stories like this to sing and tell in order to boost readership. it's unfortunate that the monk fell into their trap. otherwise i'm sure he wishes to keep stuff to himself. next up will be a story of how a heroine hokkien virgin auntie finds enlightenment by doubling down in nusa duta despite firecrackers, sleepless nights, sleep deprivation, sleep apnea, sleeping alone with hymen intact, and terrorizing sbf.

Finally, we have someone in this forum who is able to see past the headlines and into the political dog-whistling and the political cloak and dagger behind His Holiness the Venerable Tenzin Drachom's subtle but no-nonsense political messaging for both the governments of China and Singapore.

I was wondering why His Holiness displayed his "don't mess with me" uniform with all his war medals on full display just for a news article. There must be a reason why His Holiness did so, I thought. Surely, it cannot be about boasting and bragging as he is a now a monk who has given up on sex, worldly pleasures and longings. Now, you have put it all together and uncovered this reason. So, let me be the first to thank you.

BTW, I hope His Holiness the Venerable Tenzin Drachom, does not settle merely for being the Dalai Lama's personal bodyguard when his potential is obviously way past a bodyguard. I hope he steps into politics. When His Holiness does so, I trust, His Excellency PM Lee Hsien Loong who stormed into several cable cars in a daring raid and rescue mission in 1983, will not be jealous and see him as a competitor out to diminish his heroic cable car raid and rescue mission record. Instead, I hope he will have the brains to makes His Holiness his Minister of Defence.

oh dear this is really hot topic. but heaven has its way with events, with people and with countries. the dalai lama is a very controversial issue. the tibetian form of buddhism is also another controversial topic. tibetian monks are quite different form other buddhist sects...so the things go on and on. although the Dhamma teaches non violence and emptiness in all things, this is far from the truth...there are so many attachments, so many conflicts, so many confrontations and so many fightings...so many scandals, so many abuses and so many I AM TOO scandals....so the human itself is at fault...the greed, the ego and the self0-righteousness are always there . unless you are truly enlightened and understood THE DHAMMA you are still as fallible as anyone else. we are easily tempted by sensory desires and gratifications. our mind is wild like the monkey. our heart is as wild like the irish roses. and our sexual desire is unstoppable...so we humans fail to see the emptiness of all dharmas . they are all suffering...

shit man..what am I writing all these....ok. I hope our great soldier turned monk will resurface and lead Singapore to greater heights and greater enlightenment. may the buddha bless him.

My very sad No.1 uniform. Sibeh laukui when compared to SOF Rambo's/His Holiness the Venerable Vyarta Mora's fully-medalled No.1 uniform.

Lucky, I got markmanship and IPPT award and LCP rank. Otherwise, people will think I am a hotel waiter when I put it on.
