Actually come to think of it only vidoes shown on a certain screen size can be considered "HD" videos. Full HD is the magic res of 1920 x 1080. I also remember that monitors that are not able to show videos at this res will never be considered real HD vids or full hd cos i think 1260 x 720 is the res in which HD but not in full HD but STILL hd is the res in which the res is at.

In any case if you want to talk in technical terms a phone's screen would never be able to display it at 1920 x 1080 p.

There is a Samsung display at 5" and 1920 x 1080 p going to be announced in June and phones will follow a few months after that. The new iPad is already above this level of resolution but of course it is not a phone.

By the way, if you view Youtube through an Apple application, you can view HD sources directly without a manual conversion. Perhaps there is an auto-scaling function in the application.

I don't understand this. What is better? The sound standard used or quality of the built-in phone speakers or the earplugs provided? If the sound standard is different, is it non-compressed versus compressed or just the difference in sampling rate. Or is it the surround sound encoding?

No lah all phones sold in sg are unlocked. So you can use any phone on any phone network no problem. I am aware that some phones in the US are locked to a certain network like phones sold by AT&T. It's not only android phones but iphones as well. That's the problem with some telecos in the US and mostly for US ppl after all which other country in the world puts the month before the day when showing the date just to be different.

any model to recommend? Prefer those without constant sw updating issue.

i uses my personal earplug to test. the sound standard is same.
the different in the quality of the dac and pre-amp of the unit.

all ipod and iphone and samsung phone do not spend their money on the audio quality side, only to use less power.

samsung s3 is not too bad compare to audio quality of other phone or ipod/music player.

NO NO NO, i never said that, i said it does not play itune movie like m4v, but it plays itune music m4a just fine.

If you know what is m4v, you know that it is same as mp4, and the only reason is political, not technical.
