Samsung Galaxy SIII Available Tomorrow From 9 PM

any one here getting S3 on the first day, gave some review of the phone. Is it better than iphone 4S?

Take note that the note is now using ice cream sandwich which is the lastest OS. So if you own a note it will automatically ask you to update. Seriously to tell you the truth i have noticed no lag at all on the note when when it was on gingerbread which was the last OS. Now that it has updated to ICSW it's even smoother. The note has a dual core cpu at 1.4ghz and 1Gb of ram. The 4s is also dual core too but i'm not using it i'm using ip4. My ip4 has also been updated to the latest 5.1.1 and JB already and yes it works smoothly BUT at times when i run applications simulatenously there will be a slight lag but then that's expected since the ip4 has a single core and less ram perhaps it has no problem on the ip4s JB.

The note really impressed me. I ran this site www.bet365.com This site is 100% java but it has a mobile version. Anyway i ran the desktop version on the note and it had no problems streaming the live videos, keeping the match scores all up to date and even played the sound. I also tried streaming videos from xinmsn.com and no problems the note can play all their videos. In all i was running bet365, xinmsn and youtube desktop version simultanously no problem at all for the note.

You need to JB the iphone to get most the features. I have been JB the ip since the 3G version so i know how to JB it and where to look for solutions and new programs BUT if you are new to it it might give you a headache and trust me i got some headaches in the past while attempting to JB the ip and d/l programs. The iphone still has limitations even after JB like inability to play certain video files, music files need to be modified and then cut to 30 seconds before they can be used as a ringtone. Inability to del one phone call on the lst unless you JB it and d/l some program. It's stuck with itunes. I must say it's cos i'm so familiar with the iphone that's why all of these aren't a problem for me anymore.

I have upgraded my note to ICS and it is all good. Love the interface and it is faster and smoother. However, the data connection seems to slow down. I just have to remove the current APN and create a new one. All is well. Now my Note is fully functional with faster speed, cooler interface and smoother feel. Who needs an iphone when you have the NOTE. I do not even care about the iphone 5. Face it, you need flash to get full web surfing experience and many apps that are available in iphone are available in Google Play too and more. (Many future apps too)

Yup the flash thing is required for a number of sites and it sucks if you cannot experience that on the phone. All things said and done there's a diff between mobile flash and the flash that a desktop pc can run. Obviously desktops or computers are able to run flash better compared to mobile flash that's a given that's why certain flash games that can be played on the desktop cannot be played on phones but the note is more or less able to run a majority of flash sites out there.

One example is bet365. The desktop version is fully flash and the note is able to run every single feature it has fine.

Hi I'm back. Just got up to the bedroom. When I saw the Note I kind of like it as its easy to my eyes, my long sightedness is getting worse. No S3 for me cos if I really want this size I'd rather wait end of the year for iPhone 5.

yes that's right the note's large screen is really good and that's an advanatge is has over the s3. Seriously if you need to check say maps for eg the note is vastly superior to phones with a smaller screen. Google map on the note is also much better than google map on the iphone it's just like the desktop version.

Also it's much better watching movies on the note cos let's face it it's always better watching movies or vids on a bigger screen.

I-phone suck.
Samsung Android the best easy to interconnect with other device.

Android sucks if you do not know how to root ...

Another thing i would like to add about the ip4 and iphones in general that is old news. The ip4 uses a micro sim card. Now you know that not all teleco companies sell micro sims and that by and large normal sim cards are still typically sold. To joe since you travel often from country to country there are times you might not get a micro sim and that's going to be a problem. For me i bought a micro sim card cutter which looks like a stapler and that was how i managed to cut my AIS sim card into a micro sim when i was in thailand. Therefore who knows you might actually need to cut your sim card into a micro sim or use the stapler device to cut the normal sim into a micro sim which of course is a hassle and just one more problem. So far i only know 3 phones that use micro sims and that is the ip4, ip4s and one HTC phone. The rest of the phones from other brands all use normal sim cards.

Also you need the pin thing to poke into the ip4 to take out the sim card. For me i put it inside my wallet since it's so small so i won't lose it but imagine how much trouble it is if you don't have the pin thing or you lost it now you cannot even remove your sim card. Also the battery isn't removable and i solved this by buying an external charging battery and the retractable wire. When i was using my ip4 i would have the external battery, retractable wire and ip4 inside my pocket. 3 things and also cost me time and money to buy them.

When i switched to using the note i had to use a sim card adapter so that the micro sim can fit properly into the phone but it's not the note's fault cos apple wanted to be special by adopting the micro sim and so far new phones from other brands didn't adopt the mirco sim only HTC i believe.

So to joe since you constantly travel to many different countries most of the time when you get an ip4s i suggest these additional measures and stuff to buy. Make sure you have the small pin thing or something small enuff to poke into the iphone to take out the sim card. Sim card cutter in case the sim cards you buy don't sell micro sims. External battery and retractable wire cos iphone does not allow you to remove the battery and you would need to charge the phone when the battery power goes low. Overall i think all of this is quite a hassle.

Yes I know the hassles of iPhone as I carry 2 now, 4s with AIS card and 4 with Starhub card. I also ready 2 external battery pack whenever I travel. I agree many time I could not use oversea's SIM on my iPhones because its the normal size so I got to use my older E75 Nokia.

Is this the 16GB version or the 32GB version? There's 2 versions of the note. SG only sells the 16GB version. If you have the 32GB version you can buy a class 10 64GB micro SD card so that your phone will now have a storage capacity of almost a 100GB. ip4s won't have that much space.

Why not you buy the sim card cutter?
