I remember some bros in here mentioned that the shape and design of the S3 isn't that aesthetically pleasing but that shouldn't be a big factor. This phone has a whole ton of features and i must say after getting the note and my first android and actually able to surf websites just like a desktop can which enables java and shockwave it's really good. Unlike the iphone which might have problems loading some sites.

Well that's one of the advantages i can think that an android or samsung phone has over iphone.

Size will be bigger. Not so convenient for male put inside pocket.

Jah how's the battery life of the NOTE?

Pretty good. 2500 mAH which is much more than the iphone4 which has 1420 mAh i used to bring along a portable charger when i was using my ip4 cos the battery runs out pretty fast and i'm using BT stereo headset while listening to internet radio both of which use a lot of battery power. The note handles it well and there's still quite alot of power left even after listening all day on the radio. The BT is also more advanced version 3.0 i think which the s3 should have.

Wah the S3 has version4.0 BT with A2dp which means it can transmit the sound in stereo mode. Even BT has a more advanced version.

The ip4 which has ver 2.1 had problems streaming the music when i put it into my pants pocket there was bound to be some interruption which the note doesn't have. The s3 which has ver 4.0 BT probably means that you can connect a device further away and probably obstacles like walls would be less of a problem.

Jah, I was at the M1 dealer counter in Funan 2 Sundays ago before I left for Jakarta last Monday. I was ready to buy the Samsung NOTE to try it out. There was this very helpful salesman. He confirmed I am eligible to get it at a special price as my 2 years contract was over . I was actually thinking aloud whether I will be use to it as I'm using 2 iPhones currently he said no problem because he himself is also use an iPhone together with the Note. Then i asked the final question since he has both machines - I wonder if the screen speed and sensitivity is the same. His answer was NO. iPhone screen is still better. I panic and thanked him for his frank opinion an left without buying. What's your take Jah since you have used both?

Take note that the note is now using ice cream sandwich which is the lastest OS. So if you own a note it will automatically ask you to update. Seriously to tell you the truth i have noticed no lag at all on the note when when it was on gingerbread which was the last OS. Now that it has updated to ICSW it's even smoother. The note has a dual core cpu at 1.4ghz and 1Gb of ram. The 4s is also dual core too but i'm not using it i'm using ip4. My ip4 has also been updated to the latest 5.1.1 and JB already and yes it works smoothly BUT at times when i run applications simulatenously there will be a slight lag but then that's expected since the ip4 has a single core and less ram perhaps it has no problem on the ip4s JB.

The note really impressed me. I ran this site www.bet365.com This site is 100% java but it has a mobile version. Anyway i ran the desktop version on the note and it had no problems streaming the live videos, keeping the match scores all up to date and even played the sound. I also tried streaming videos from xinmsn.com and no problems the note can play all their videos. In all i was running bet365, xinmsn and youtube desktop version simultanously no problem at all for the note.

You need to JB the iphone to get most the features. I have been JB the ip since the 3G version so i know how to JB it and where to look for solutions and new programs BUT if you are new to it it might give you a headache and trust me i got some headaches in the past while attempting to JB the ip and d/l programs. The iphone still has limitations even after JB like inability to play certain video files, music files need to be modified and then cut to 30 seconds before they can be used as a ringtone. Inability to del one phone call on the lst unless you JB it and d/l some program. It's stuck with itunes. I must say it's cos i'm so familiar with the iphone that's why all of these aren't a problem for me anymore.

I am cheap so will always b 1 gen behind..using S1 now..no issues..got my S1 few months b4 S2 was released as needed a new phone...i no regrets lah,,and wait for kinks is like just get 2nd batch n wait 6 months after release n buy lor..price would have dropped by than

Bro of course the samsung phone can play all your music. You just simply copy the songs into the hdd or if you have a micro sd card you can copy it there. Either use kies air if you want to transfer wirelessly or just transfer the music like to a regular hdd. Kies is samsung's "itunes' but it doesn't control everything like itunes. You can just copy music and videos into the samsung hdd just like that. I used kies the first time just to tranfser my phone contacts and i only use air kies which is to transfer files thru the wifi network. The note can become a wifi hotspot too for tethering up to 5 devices i think. The iphone can do it wirelessly too BUT it's using bluetooth tethering which is slower than using usb but wifi tethering is different and there's no lag. After ios updates to version 5 you can sync using wifi with itunes but it didn't work for me.

If you didn't JB your iphone there's a lot of limitations in the phone. Android phones use google play to d/l apps. It should be installed on the phone for you if you buy it from the telecos. Same thing like iphone where the app store is instored. The google app store does not require you to register your credit card you just pay for the apps that are not free but itunes requires u to register CC card.

i'm no guru it's just that i have both phones so i know how they work and what features they have.

Hi I'm back. Just got up to the bedroom. When I saw the Note I kind of like it as its easy to my eyes, my long sightedness is getting worse. No S3 for me cos if I really want this size I'd rather wait end of the year for iPhone 5.
