Rugby World Cup is here again

South Africa took the lead!!! knn the referee so fat.........

SF Line up:

France vs Wales

Australia vs New Zealand

Australia beat S Africa despite having far less possession and territory.
Imho, Quade Cooper had a real stinker. If I were their NZ coach Robbie Deans, would replace him with Berrick Barnes.
Then again, maybe not. :D

Springboks were unlucky but you've got to give it to the Wallabies for riding their luck. It wouldn't surprise me if they go on to win the competition but it would be nice to see France and the All Blacks in the finals.

Well, the Aussies did the hard work in the QF and I really fancy the All Blacks nicking this one by the slimmest of margins.

Be weary of the Welsh. They are capable of an upset. They did very well the last world cup. The Aussies got the tougher qf than the All Blacks but the kiwis have injury problems and things might just even out, thus I just have to sit on the fence for this one.

Wales will be favorites to reach the final. The French have nothing to lose and with the pressure off their back, I suspect an upset is possible.

Where the Kiwi's are concerned, they've been known as chokers when it comes to the big ones. They have to be luckier than lucky to beat theWallabies.

My heart says it will be a France vs NZ finale but my head tells me otherwise.

Historically, France are capable of only one big game per tournament. Have they played that big game?
Before this started, I said that France was capable of beating NZ in the QF and losing to Samoa in the SF.
Just replace with England and Wales................... :D

Dan Carter is out of the world cup and now his replacement Colin Slade is also out.
Coach Graham Henry commented that the new number 10 Aaron was just skateboarding and drinking beer a few days ago. :D

There are a few keys to the outcome of wallabies vs all blacks:
1. Fitness of aussie fullback Kurtley Beale, a great runner with the ball.
2. Relative perfomances of nz scrum half Piri Weepu, who had a great passing and kicking game in the QF and the enigmatic wallaby no. 10 Quade Cooper, who had a stinker in the QF.
3. Whether all blacks forwards can dominate aussie forwards at scrums, line-outs and breakdowns.

France beat Wales 28-9 the last time they met in the six nations competition this year but that was held at the Stade de France. On neutral ground, it can go either way but me thinks Wales have a slight advantage as they've shown consistency in the round robin stage. Their gritty performance against the Irish was another plus.

As with the other semi, I think the team that commits the least ball turnover will play at the finals. There are far too many ball handling errors.

I am glad I do not have to wake up middle of the night to watch these rugby world cup matches.

Both semis are too close to call, really depends on which team turns up.

Let's hope Wales can play as confidently as they did against the English. Luv' it!

France 9 Wales 8 !!!! Wales were very unlucky n I thot they were the better team.

KNNBCCB! What's with the moustache?

He knows he will be sacked after the world cup for their abject performances and is planning to audition for a role as Hercule Poirot. :D

It will be a travesty if France wins the world cup.
Warburton should not have been sent off, that was a yellow card and sin bin offence.
At least Wales tried to play with 14 men.
France were just kicking aimlessly all over the field.
Hopefully either the wallabies or all blacks will give them a good trashing.

It was a tactical victory by France and they knew all along they could not match Wales's aggression and intensity when driving forward. The did the next best thing by soaking the pressure and hope for penalties which they were duly rewarded by that silly tackle by Warburton. I guess the player let the testosterone get to his head and thot for for an insane moment he was in a WWF summer slam.

Warburton let his teammates down and with one man down Wales conceded penalties from scrums which the France converted. Wales had their share of penalties but failed to convert.

I agree the better team should have made it to the finals. It would have at least made the finals a lot more interesting. Until the very last seconds I was hoping for one of the Welshman to pick up the ball and gone for a drop goal (ala Wilkinson) but it was not to be. Haiz...the France that I know during the Sella era was full of finesse and flair.

Bro, if Aussie win today, my WC is over. They will go on to win in the finals for sure.

Hopefully we can see French flair and finesse in the final.
They were the team that won me over to Rugby and foresake soccer.

Woah bro, your prediction of a France vs NZ final was on the dot. You must have made a tidy bundle. Similarly, I hope and pray that we'll be able to witness wat French rugby is all about in the finals. I have a gut feel that the winner may not necessarily be the best team but the luckiest one-FRANCE. Their victories throughout the competition have been less than convincing.

Whatever happens lets hope the deserving team walks away with the cup and bragging rights.:D
