There's a rumour that France are trying to lose the game so that they will have an easier knockout round draw. They have named one of their scrum halves at half back (number 10).

Ireland did a great job in beating Australia last week.

Rugby is the only sport in the world where they name 2 of their positions after a working lady and a jersey number.

This weekend is the last round of group matches.
2 pivotal matches.
England vs Scotland. If Scotland can beat England by at least 8 pts, Scotland go through and England go home.
Italy vs Ireland. If Italy can beat Ireland (think it must also be by certain number of pts), Italy may qualify at Ireland's expense, even though Ireland has beaten Australia.

S Africa, Wales, NZ, France, Argentina and Australia should be the other qualifiers.

In my opinion I think they are more patient and more disciplined on the field than their opponent.

I hope it will be Ireland vs New Zealand, with Ireland to win in the final.

France were really bad against N Zealand and losing to Tonga was an embarrassment.
England have been really ill disciplined on and off the field.

This world cup, England have been really ill disciplined on the field, conceding a high number of penalties in dangerous areas.
They were lucky Argentina didn't convert most of their kicks and again lucky to score a late try against Scotland.

Neither England nor France deserves to be in the SF based on their performances so far.

The WC winner will definitely come from the tie between S.Africa and Australia. The Springbok was easily the most impressive team in the round robin group stage. If they beat the Aussies, they will go on to win the WC for sure. I'm rooting for the underdogs France or the home team to win but I think its a bit of a stretch to harbor those thots.
