Thanks for the update.

Buy from Kallang Airport HC, besides the wet market. This small HC caters for breakfast only.
At 90cts per pc, consider cheap.

Originally from Johor Bahru, You Kee XO Restaurant has already made a name for itself for its herbal soups and roast meat and they recently opened a restaurant here in Singapore. Their soups are boiled in urns over charcoal for 15 hours in order to produce the rich broth and deep flavour. Two different types of herbal soup will be available every day. However, their signature dish is definitely their perfectly-charred roast duck ($8 – $15.80). Other items on their menu to look out for are their roast pork ($6.80) and their crystal BBQ pork belly char siew ($9.80).

Miss grandma’s cooking? Then you definitely need to try out White House Teochew Porridge. Here, the food is simple, but made with love. You can get authentic comfort food that will warm your heart (and stomach!). Some recommended dishes are the black bean fish ($6), stir-fried cabbage ($2) and sweet-salty pork belly ($4) to accompany a piping hot bowl of porridge, of course!
