In the old days, most of the commanders of Land Divisions were DAC, and probably most of the Deputy Commanders were Supt.
Nowadays, most of the the commanders are DAC or AC, and there is one SAC.
Commanders of the Marine Police is usually AC or SAC.
SAC is very senior, and is equivalent to a Major General in the SAF.
The SPF has about half a dozen SAC.

8. SAC, two pips and one ??
9.. DC one crab and one ??
10. Commissioner of Police one pip, one crab and one ??

After reviewing the Singapore government directory, it looks like the SPF has the following very senior officers:
1. one Commissioner
2. three DC
3. thirteen SAC
4. nineteen AC
one of the SAC is commander of Tanglin Land Division, one is the commander of the Marine Police, and one is the commander of Airport Police

Then, there are numerous ranks for senior specialists, such as 3SG, 2SG, 1SG, SSG, MSG, 3Wo, 2WO, 1WO, MWO, SWO and Chief Warrant Officers

But the salary is not bad, because the monthly salary for 3WO and CPT is about SGD 5,000
