Am watching Ch8 news just now. The RWS Genting boss mentioned that they are going to build a hotel in Iskandar. Think Najib announcement on 11th could have something to do with it.

Casinos can be on Star cruise....PH has berthing facilities for cruise ships....wow

Casino in iskandar...my take will not be good unless it beef up the police/security force it a big way.....casino will bring in people but also all sorts of crimes to the area......

Can star cruise and similar size cruise ship be ale to travel under the 2nd link?....my impression is that the 2nd link bridge may not be high enough....correct me if I'm wrong....

I am sure that the time will come. While a lot of vacant land around Puteri Harbour may be detracting some individual investors, but the good thing is that land is under one company (UEM) and they can bring in some good brand names. Their track record is quite credible as they have managed to attract Traders, Somerset and Frasers (I believe the hotel operator for Tiong Nam).

Also, success bring in success. It is quite possible that more hotel operators are waiting on the sidelines to observe how Traders performs. And if they do well, we should see some more top hotels announced in the near future. Fingers crossed.

The new CIQ should also be a game changer for Puteri Harbour.

crime rate is already so rampant here in jb .. you are right. if they are going to open a casino, they need to bring in the swat team, gurkhas, gundam, robocop, marvel heros to take care of the security. Spore of course wont be pleased abt it

def MRT from JB sentral. MRT comes every few mins, ferry can never do that. Plus .. proposed MRT runs underground no pro with weather, ferry is at mercy of weather and choppy sea.

PH ferry to harbourfront is for people to stay at PH/Medini area to go to work at HF area. No need to drive, no need to find carpark, no need to queue at the 2nd link.
Just sit in the ferry and relax for the next 40 mins.
MRT to JB Central also same. Maximum travel time from HF to JB is about 20 mins, maybe more if have to switch lines.

The time saver would be at the ferry or mrt CIQ.
