Give you guys a hint. Restrict immigrants by profession. We dont need 10,000 FT bankers in Spore do we? Nor do we need 10,000 Indian IT programmers. Same goes for menial work. Give the locals a chance to compete with the generally useless FTs. Pay should not take precedent in appointing an individual for a specific vocation. Skill, the ability to converse locally & adapatibility are factors, hugely overlooked.
Local produce are sub standard? NUS & NTU dished out sub standard graduates ah?

Another radical move - Since our govt so cherished the FTs, why didnt they appoint one in their cabinet? By doing this, they will shut the entire Spore FT bashers up. Heard war mongerer G Bush is available. And he also come cheap & he talks BS even better than our ministers.

What roots? Our forefathers were here when it was tough and endured the hardship. Most of them started out low and worked their way up.These FTs are now here when the life here is good? See the difference?

I think your people conveniently forget your roots that you're voted in to served the people not the other way round. Pls travel outside of Singapore and see how leaders treat their citizens.

Immigration in this globalised world is what makes things tick. It is an ingredient in world trade, something we are heavily dependent upon.
