Don't how-seow ok.... Geylang lorongs are arrange in odd and even numbers OK... U mean an injured chicken can run across the busy Geylang Road without being run over?

Geylang got chicken (real chicken farm)? Damn, I must be damn young. :D The first time I caught a chicken was when it crossed Bendemeer Road from old farm side (now Bendemeer Pr. Sch.) to the HDB side. I grabbed it and asked my uncle lazing around the coffeeshop smoking, what to do with it. He said, bring it upstairs to your grannie and ask her to teach you how to kill it, then come back down here to call me when dinner's ready; if your dad's home, ask him to cook it; your dad's cooking skill is best.

Looney must have meant Toa Payoh. Today there're only 8 lorongs in Toa Payoh. I heard there used to be 10 lorongs. Lorongs 9 and 10 became what's now known as Potong Pasir Avenues 1 and 2, something like that.

Tian Tian was wrought with internal strife ending in a fight recently between their chef and manager. Their top chef has resigned in disgust and set up his own stall selling exactly the same thing. Best thing of all he's just a whisker away from the old stall. Queues will be shorter in view that customers have another option.

where is my fav chicken rice store, the one in far east plaza. it is the best in my view.
 
Having seen his posts on cooking over the years and without tasting his dishes, I can vouch for that. His recommendations spot on and the way he describes the preparation and picks out the key ingredients, his immense knowledge, etc are strong indicators.

Also impressed with other forummers such Nice-gook and few others on their knowledge base and experience.

Hardware zone is infromative on directions and when is the latest event. Other than that, very shallow.
