Thus, we need balance acts and policies for both riches and pools as well as for the locals. Where on earth finding people to fight for this country when in need, if the locals feel that they are forced out by the foreigners. IMO, really depend on newbie luck too. If they graduated (no matter what courses they studied) during recession, also difficult to find job.

A few years back, my nephew studied in local U got a job offer in his third year industrial attachment with an MNC. He joined the company immediately after his graduation. I think he is really lucky.

It is common for arts and social science NUS grads to apply for even lowly data entry jobs. People here who are higher up the food chain and do the hiring should know that.
